Last night on the radio they had an interview with Steve Howe, and they played like an hour of Yes songs. It was pretty awesome. They played a lot of songs I hadn't heard, and they were amazing. I may have to buy one of their albums.

Knowing Yes, tht might only be 2 or 3 songs. :p My bro has Fragile and it's a really good album. It tok me a while to get into it though. Close to the Edge has only three songs, so I think I'll request them sepratley in YSI to get the whole album.

ATM 05-23-2005 01:55 PM

I was on our local classic rock station today

They were doing artists that appeared on the Simpsons, and I called in to remind them about Spinal Tap, because they had forgot to play them.

I was on my radio station saying how Neil young was the best Canadian Artist.

Aw crap, right after I left lasi night loads of people came on for trading. :( I'm still up for it though.

robo2448 05-23-2005 02:27 PM

Last night my classic radio station did a show on Dylan, since it's his bithday tomorrow

They actually said something interesting. They said that The Byrds really helped Dylan. I always thought dylan kind of made the byrds career, but the host argued that by covering his songs, The Byrds helped Dylan become accepted in the rock community. It was pretty interesting.

I failed at getting Rolling Stones tix today :upset:

robo2448 05-23-2005 04:15 PM

This has nothing to do with what we're discussing now, but i had 2 classic rock experiences in school today. First one was bad. We are reading The Odyssey in English, and i mentioned that Cream wrote Tales of Brave Ulysses about it, no one knew what i was talking about

The second was cool. In study hall, a few of us music fans who don't like working sit in the back of the room and play hang man with music songs. It's actually amazingly fun. Anyway, I did Shine On You Crazy Diamond as 1, since i was listening to Pulse at the time. I spent the rest of the period talking about what a great cd it was and what we would do to see Floyd live. It was fun

Broken Arrow 05-23-2005 04:48 PM

Stock, I could send you Strange Days.

And Best of the Animals but robo has you covered.

I have Harvest Monn.

drugstore cowboy 05-23-2005 05:19 PM

I have the "Definitive Simon & Garfunkle", Woodstock. It's twenty songs, like the greatest hits, and there are only about three different.

aim= bluesy monday, if you're interested.
I spent the rest of the period talking about what a great cd it was and what we would do to see Floyd live.
...and what WOULD you do to see Floyd live. 'Cause I've heard rumours of a reunion.

Canadian-Guy 05-23-2005 05:19 PM

So I'm 99% sure I'm going to see Alice Cooper in October:eek:!

MalcolmYoungRock 05-23-2005 05:20 PM

I'm really digging Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I didn't really listen to him before, but WOW, what a fucking guitarist.
...and what WOULD you do to see Floyd live. 'Cause I've heard rumours of a reunion.
False rumour.

Gilmour and Waters still hate each other. Nick hates Waters because he was fired by him after The Wall.

And Canadian Guy... stop getting banned. I haven't even gotten a 3rd account.

Sw33t. It was Bob Dylan's birthday yesterday, and so they played a bunch of Dylan stuff on my classic rock station. 'Twas great.
