I love The system has failed.
I was very pleased when Megadeth played stuff from that when I saw them. |

I saw Anthrax with Joey, they were great, but nothing as good as Megadeth.
It may have been I saw Anthrax at a festival, and Megadeth playing a 2 hour set. a lot more than Anthrax played at Download. Megadeth is still the 3rd best gig I've ever been to, behind the twice I've seen maiden of course. |
I though anthrax put on a way better show than Megadeth did to. They were always pumping the crowd up and running around and having a great time. They also played mostly all old amterial which I was very happy about. I was signing along and headbanging the whole time, my neck was very sore the next day. Megadeth just stood their and played and Dave only talked to the crowd twice which was dissapointing.

Sounds exactly like my show too heh. I was kinda disappointed with Megadeth just sitting there and Dave never interacting with the crowd. But Hangar 18 was intense live heh. Also both bands got pretty much equal playing time. Megadeth clocked in at 1 hour and 45 minutes and Anthrax clocked in at 1 hour and 20 minutes. |
I though Megadeth were going to put on a way better show than they did. I was happy that they played some older material (Wake up Dead, Tornado of Sould, Hanger 18, Peace Sells, Symphony of Destruction)

This is indeed a dark day. :(
|
I don't know...this sounds nothing like the 'deth show I saw, Dave talked to the crowd a load and when Diamond head came on at the end to sing along to "back in the day" it was touching beyond belief...

Good afternoon/morning/evening MX!
Well, today was a pretty good day. I had a good day at school and got out a day early because I had a spare block last block today. Then I went to KFC for a job interview. Well, it may not be the greatest job in the world, but I've got it. I get to cook chicken. |
And plus, you get to spit in the chicken of people you dislike...
Bonus.
That reminds me of some truly idiotic things I've done while at my job (I work in a concession stand in a convention center). Dark, terrible, disturbing memories. :( |

/whores three-hour long Mudvayne review (I took a couple breaks in between, don't worry :p*) The other two reviews for this album absolutely sucked, so I wrote as thoroughly as possible. I don't expect everyone here to read it, but if you are interested in my review style and/or Mudvayne's L.D. 50 album, please head on over and comment :) *it was to do uni coursework :( |

Well, there are several instances. My most emberassing was when the circus came to my town (it was as horrifying as you can imagine  ) Some guy came up to the stand and ordered a bunch of Mt. Dews. He told me to fill them up as full as possible with ice, so I did just that. But once I filled it with ice and Dew, it was so full I couldn't get the lids on. Without thinking, I pulled ice out of this guy's Mt. Dew with my bare hands. Unfortunately, he saw, and said, "You know what? You can just give me my money back because I'm not drinking anything that that guy just put his hands into". I felt like this the rest of the day: :upset: I couldn't believe I did that - just put my hand right in it. So STUPID of me. There was also another; this wasn't me, but it's funny as hell, so I'll throw it in. There was this huge business convention in town so we had people from al over the world staying in hotels to see the convention. This little Japanese guy came up and wanted a cheeseburger. The woman working the register at the time went and got him one out of the steam table. She handed it to him, but as he was walking away, yelled "OH SHIT!!!!", as she just remmebered she grabbed the partially eaten one that she had started eating for lunch. She grabbed a new one and ran down to the guy, just as he was yelling, "THIS ONE HAVE BITE OUT OF!!!!" It was so hilarious to hear him call that in a Japanese accent. Ah, good times at my horrible job. |

Nice one SF...hahah
Oh, Japan is cool. Bedtime methinks. Due to schooling on the morrow. |
It wasn't nice at the time, but now it's just funny to think about.
Looks like it's time for me to go play guitar before it gets much later. |
I never had the pleasure of working in a fast food place...heh, I don't regret it. Most of the places I've worked at were booths though, and that's almost as good. I'm surprised that girl was actually able to that burger though. Anyone I've talked to won't touch the food from the places they work after they see how it's been made and the kind of things that happen to it:
Am I the only person who drinks because I like beer, spirits... rather than just to get drunk?
No you are not, good beer tastes fantastic, much better than most sodas.
And drinking keeps the harmful effects to your self, smoking spreads it around to others while smoking.
How many smokers kill people because of driving under the influence of nicotine? How many smokers on a nicotine rush go home and beat their wives and kids? Drinking brings upon other harmful effects to other people, and it is just naieve to think it does no harm to others around you, just ask anyone who has ever known someone killed in a drunk driving accident, when they were very sober themselves, which happens in my hometown a good 10 or 11 times per summer (i.e. june through august) because its on the main strip that comes away from the beach. |

I am fully aware of what alcohol can do to families and people around alcoholics and what drunk drivers do. But does that come into play at a bar? No it doesn't. Smoking and inhaling second smoke takes place in the bar it's self, thus effect every one around you with some health degrading smoke. |
Isn't secondhand smoke supposed to be as bad, if not worse, as regular smoking?
I dunno, I kinda like the smell of cigarettes on occasion though...it's weird. |

My dad is the same way. I've never seen him drink more than two beers at a time. I almost didn't beleive him when he told me that he drinks beer for the taste. Well, now he does, but back in the day, he says he was a pretty hXc frat boy. :p NP: Symphony X- The Pharoah So, uh, I'm going to attempt learning the rythm parts from Of Sins and Shadows. Basically everything minus the solo. |
My dad drinks nice beer because he enjoys it, he rarely if ever gets drunk. I'm sure he used to party hard though.
I enjoy beer too, even if it's crappy American Beer to an extent. |
Guitar or keys?
That song is unbelievably hard on guitar...I have the intro only, and barely that at that. |
I've heard that it is, and it's because there's nothing to filter the smoke, but I don't see how that makes sense. The smoke passed through a filter when the person inhaled it, and he/she got got the full effect of it. I'm not saying that makes it any better...
I'm glad that Ontario banned smoking in public places. I hated going to bars and having to walk into a cloud of smoke. |
Guitar or keys?
That song is unbelievably hard on guitar...I have the intro only, and barely that at that.
Guitar. Keys would be even harder, I think. :p I have the intro down already, and the verse. I mean, if you can trem pick, you can play the verse. The chorus is also easy as well. I mean, just an odd chord progression is all. The intro is fun to play, though. The only parts that I don't have now are the odd harmonized run and the solos, which I doubt I will be able to play for say, another twenty years. The Pharoah would be fun to learn on geetar as well. Extremely odd rythm. How long have you been playing? |

Idea stolen from Alt&Indie and Pop punk. Thread a little later. |

I guess it's a good idea, although I see nothing wrong with just having an mx one. |
