You hadn't gotten those yet?

Odd.
I've had Paranoid on my computer forever, and I just hadn't bought it yet. I've been listening to my dad's copy of Abbey Road for awhile, and I'll need one to take to college with me in the fall. This is the first time I've heard most of The White Album, because my dad only has it on album, not cd.

robo2448 05-22-2005 06:17 PM

The white album is brilliant. Just brilliant.

I could say the same of every Beatles album (Post- Help!)

Broken Arrow 05-22-2005 06:34 PM

The mentioning of Paranoid in this thread made me remember how much I love Sabbath. I only own 4 of thir albums but they're all amazing.

I dont own the White Album.
I could say the same of every Beatles album (Post- Help!)
Pre-Help Beatles were still pretty brilliant..for their time, at least. It's almost two completely different bands (early beatles, late beatles), with Rubber Soul/Revolver serving as the divider.

Broken Arrow 05-22-2005 06:44 PM

Does anyone feel like trading albums...I'm bored out of my mind/.

White Goodman 05-22-2005 06:46 PM

Reading about Black Sabbath made me get out the Paranoid CD. I forgot how much of a masterpiece this album is. My band was wanting me to learn the bass to Rat Salad before we broke apart, but listening to it again makes me wanna learn it anyways.

I am growing fond of their earliers stuff. It's so poppy, it would be very strange to play it at a funeral, wouldn't it?

robo2448 05-22-2005 07:06 PM

Help is good, poppy, but I really enjoy listening to it.

Oh, I do!

Distant Echoes 05-22-2005 07:43 PM

I'm always up for trading music...i finished my rym account a few days ago.

Help is most likely gonna be my next beatles album, since Ive already gotten most the latter stuff, and now i got nowhere else to turn but earlier and earilier beatles

PinkFreud 05-22-2005 07:45 PM

im up for trading.

jpj owes me an album i think. i cant really remember...

White Goodman 05-22-2005 07:48 PM

PinkFrued, whatever happened to the FreeMusicThread. I haven't seen it updated in a while.

Distant Echoes 05-22-2005 07:50 PM

Ive never actually been in the FreeMusicThread. Ive been in and out of YSI and AIM, but not that one. Ill check it when its bumped or updated or whatever.

and if anybody wants an album, you dont have to IM me, just steal it - but ill probably take something in return

PinkFreud 05-22-2005 07:52 PM
PinkFrued, whatever happened to the FreeMusicThread. I haven't seen it updated in a while.
White Goodman 05-22-2005 07:54 PM
i kinda let it slide. i can rebump it with music if ya want.
Yea, I think that thread should be reborn, because everyone had such great music on there.

EDIT: Distant Echoes, i'm bored, do have a list of what albums you have?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 05-22-2005 08:05 PM

Festival Express is now my favorite musical DVD of all time. :D

Almost every song was good and you really can feel how much fun they're having and I've never seen such a great display of Country Rock in one place.

What's a good live album from the Dead that really shows their Country side?

Badmoon 05-22-2005 08:06 PM

Europe '72 and Skull & Roses are prodiminately Country-Rock.

BludgeonySteve 05-22-2005 08:15 PM

That's the good kind of country.

Some of the crap that is out now is so bland and generic.

White Goodman 05-22-2005 08:16 PM

http://www.recordnerd.com/lists/JamesBondage

There is my list, except I have many more classic rock albums that i found yesterday that haven't been added. I haven't updated that for at least 2 weeks.

PinkFreud 05-22-2005 08:17 PM

dboons free music thread has now officially been resurrected now.
