 That's another one that me and my chem teacher talk about. He has a thing for hallucinogens, it seems like. We spent an entire period talking about LSD and shrooms once, it was awesome. He swears this though; "I have never, and I will never make any sort of illegal drug. I have made plenty of bombs though."
He's probably the smartest guy I know. |

He's probably the smartest guy I know.
That's like my web page design teacher last year (he teaches physics and chem also). One time, he brought a potato launcher to school, and we spent the day out of the field shooting potatoes at walls. And he also has a "Mole Day" where he dresses up in a mole costume and throws Tootsie Rolls at all the science classes. He's a cool guy. |
He's been gone all week, though, because the science department went to some kind of giant convention of sorts. Basically, we just sit there for 2 hours every day work on a simple packet, which only takes half an hour. Then we get to chat for 90 minutes talking about nothing. Me and 3 senior guys started creating and planning a few pranks. 2 of these guys are rather good mechanics, so we figured we might do some temporary vandalism to the cars of certain people we don't like. Some time, we're planning on taking the driveline out of a few people's cars, and disconnection their spark plug. One of the guys says he could do all that in 7 minutes.
Mole Day is worthless. 6.02 x 10^23 zomg zomg zomg NOT COOL! |
2 hours a day? That's how long your normal classes are?
|
No, it's a zero-hour two period class. Normally, classes are 50 minutes, so we actually go for about an hour and forty, I guess.
|
On Mole Day all the kids in the Chem. Club used do experiments in the halls and stuff, andlast year they were making bouncy balls out of something, and a business teacher's son ate it. So now they're not allowed to do it anymore.
|

|
Block scheduling is awesome. I love only having 4 classes in a day, and getting to switch 2nd semester. Some teachers I couldn't stand having all year.
|
I just finished reading The Stand. The extended version, oh yes. Good book, but too long-winded. Worth a read.
/totally unrelated comment |
I hated that movie.

Chem sucks. Big monkeys hairy gigantic balls. At least the way it is in my school.
The teacher doesn't make "exams". It's all surprise quizes, he never sets a date, leaves amazingly large projects to be developed in matter of weeks (1 week to make a battery, with acid and what not wtf!!) and above all, he is a very mean professor. If your shirt isn't tucked, you're out of class for the day. If he finds out you're talking in class, it's a week. If you don't bring the copies recquired for the subject, you're out, and if it happens to be an exam day, you don't get that grade. And I have to make a project about materials conductivity and osmething else I don't remember... :( But Phys is rad. |
I'm taking Marine Biology next year, just so I can go to Catalina and miss some school.

 Marine science is good fun, especially if you go to the uni I went to. Our 3 day field trips were very cool. Ed: marine ecology/oceanography :thumb:, biology annoys me |
I was in the shower, and I washed my face and got some soap in my nose. After I sneezed 14 times, I shook my hair around to get the water out, and found my face covered in snot from my runny nose.

I guess it's that time of year.
Block scheduling is awesome. I love only having 4 classes in a day, and getting to switch 2nd semester. Luckily it looks like I'll graduate before it takes effect. |

lol 14 mini orgasms I bet Jake's jealous. :) |
So... I turned 21 today. I'm not really feeling it, though. Aside from the fact that I was able to ask for a white wine at dinner and got it.

I'm on block as well. It's OK I suppose. |

Happy birthday, man. :) I hate the feeling when you turn a certain age, but you still don't feel it. |
I get that feeling every 365 days.

I don't think teachers can force you to make a battery because battery acid is a pretty dangerous substance...Wierd. NP: Beast and the Harlot- A7X
lol 14 mini orgasms I bet Jake's jealous.
 So, I'm learning 3 songs right now- Strip the Soul by Porcupine Tree, and, both by Avenged Sevenfold, Unholy Confessions and Bat Country. All 3 have some wicked cool riffs, and Bat Country has a fun solo. Good stuff to keep me entertained. I'm also sort of writing a pair of songs right now. I'm always "sort of writing," but right now, it's a little more intensive than usual, heh. What's everyone else learning/writing right now? |
I've been working on Cradle of Filth's Hurt and Virtue for a while and I just decided to learn Slaughter of the Soul by At the Gates. I don't know how far I'll get, because when it comes to bands I listen to, I never seem to have the motivation/willpower to really learn any of their stuff. Consequently, I don't know any songs by bands I listen to (relatively difficult ones at least), and I think I need to remedy this.
What's everyone else learning/writing right now?
I just got a new slide, so I've been experimenting with that a lot, writing a lot of blues lately. Learning songs are for squares. /is looking up the tab for RHCP's Easily as we speak NP: Hold On - Kansas (Too lazy to change the song  ) |
Learning The Burning Pits Of The Duat by Nile. I tuned my other guitar to A just for that song. :) It's hard, but totally rewarding.. such cool riffage.

NP: Beast and the Harlot- A7X
A school that has a mini-Mussolini for Chem teacher. Everyone know him for being a complete ass, and feeling alright about it. He's cool though, he knows sh¡t loads about a lot of stuff, and hiss classes are very well prepared, and his exams have no point of comparison. They are the personification of evil. I was going to start learning Opeth's Bleak... or something around that line. Hey my User CP never rung. |
Hey my User CP never rung.
What? |
Mine rings all the time.
|
Tojes - Consider it rang. Explanation included elsewhere
I like that song. One of my faves by Opeth. I love that clean section during that song. I've said it before, but it reminds me of elevator music of Godly proportions. :p I wish I had a second guitar. I've been wanting to learn a lot of songs in B tuning(or played with a 7 string) but it just doesn't sound right if I played them with my standard-tuned guitar. :p |
What is User CP ringing? I'm all confused now.

I can handle standard/half step down, though. My acoustic is godly, though. I can tune it 3 steps down and it sounds terrific. Another song I want to get a hold of is The drapery falls, but if I want to play it with the guys I "gig" every now and then, we'd recquire three guitarists. And that's a lot of trouble.
What is User CP ringing? I'm all confused now.
You know, like... when they call you on MSN? and the window says "ring-a-ding-a-ding". That kind of ringing. And sometimes contain surprises, like those... chocolate with filling. Those are heavenly. :) |
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414307
Read that. I've only dropped to C, and it just fell out of tune after 15 minutes of playing. :upset: I've never tried any kind of tuning other than Drop D on my acoustic, but I don't know any downtuned songs on acoustic anyways, so that is rather immaterial anyways. |
You know, like... when they call you on MSN? and the window says "ring-a-ding-a-ding". That kind of ringing. And sometimes contain surprises, like those... chocolate with filling. Those are heavenly.
I rarely use MSN. But I understand. Maybe my USER CP IS RINGING! /checks Dang. :( |
lol. Your day will come, boy. We all get a hold of our 15 seconds of internet good-doing. :)
On a side note, referring to guitars... isn't it a bitch when your tuning goes to hell in the middle of a jam with people around that aren't the band and the guitar sounds awful? I hate that. It has happened to me. Twice. On a side note, on the other side of the side note, I was lurking through a local store's promo CD's and I spotted Joss Stone's "Mind, body and soul" with a good discount... Maybe I should get it. |

Hay dude. What's going on? |
   I missed my 666th post!!!
The smallest things hit hardest. |
I'm writing a new song, as I was telling Joe, Jelle, and Ali earlier today. I'm starting with the bass, but only have fourteen measures in.
Let me know what you think, if you'd like (it does be a MIDI): hxxp://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3QV3MQDBRZNA60S9IDUYRFUWUC |
Madey: We don't miss you :-*
On topic of what I'm learning...mostly stuff by A Wilhelm Scream. But I never really learn songs, just site read to the tab. |
Tojes- It's never happened to me when jamming, but I've had a few violent tuning fallouts. Once, I was playing along with Tool's Ticks & Leeches, and 2 minutes through the song, the low E(which was tuned to D, Tool++) was so floppy that it actually popped out of the nut. :amaze: I guess I got too into the song.
Madey- Hay, you rock. :) I got your "message" on myspace. It made me laugh. Where do you post now, anywhere? Jom- That was kind of cool. I like downloading files that take less time to download than to load the page. :p |

Haha, thanks for the feedback, I know it sucks so far. I just added a whole slew of measures. I'm also doing pretty well with the signature changes, surprisingly  |
