Seeing Cream, one of those things you dream about. It won't be coming true for me, down in Australia we miss out on quite a bit of that sort of stuff. Would be an amazing sight to behold though, like stepping back in time.
I live in NY, so transportation's not my issue. It's possible, I've already got my hopes up. I'm pretty lucky to live in NY.

Jacaranda 09-14-2005 07:08 PM

Is Ginger Baker still ugly as he was back in the day? No disrespect I love the man but by god he looks like a Hobo.

Walrus Gumboot 09-14-2005 07:12 PM
I'm praying to see Cream. It'll definitely be possible as long as my mom can solve her computer-retardedness.

I'm from NY btw. Pretty close to CT, about 5 minutes from Byram in Greenwich actually.
Ahh, so you prolly wouldn't be doing the CT Model UN, then
It's Amanda
I knew that, its just that people with more than a 1000 posts are callin ya amanda, and i only have 200,and you dont know me as well as the others.

Glitterati 09-14-2005 07:13 PM
So whatever happened to Badmoon? He stopped posting ever since he found that Lunch post..

Kind of random but, since the Beatles were influenced by the Beach Boys, does anybody not think that Back In The USSR chorus sounds exactly like something that the Beach Boys would do.

I'm talking about
"Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
They leave the west behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout"
Oh Badmoon...he'll be back.

And actually, Back In The U.S.S.R. was a bit of a spoof of Beach Boys songs.

Oh, beaten!

Yeah, mate that is lucky, opportunity of a lifetime as the old cliche goes. Grab some tickets and tell us how the show went, I'll have to settle with a DVD if one is released. :upset:

JonG 09-14-2005 07:17 PM

Why'd he leave?

*EDIT*

This thread IS rollin' tonight.

You Aussies have it the worst. Or maybe the Kiwis do, you tell me

At least you can go on vacation to Japan or China without having to fly for 20 hours

And you have digeridoos, those are pretty cool :D

PinkFreud 09-14-2005 07:18 PM

i believe there is going to be a dvd and cd of the royal albert hall shows.

i hope badmoon comes back, he has music that i need and cant find anywhere else.

amanda should probably put a picture of herself in the mxphotoalbum.

I could have already had them but my mom wouldn't pay the extra money to get the tickets before they went on sale to the general public. She wouldn't let me pay it either. I'm just hoping I'll be able to get them when they go on sale to the general public. I'll be on ticketmaster the second they go on sale.

Now I'm stuck redownloading all the e-mailed albums because WinRAR and Winzip crapped out on me.

Glitterati 09-14-2005 07:21 PM
i did.

im so hot.
I know :naughty:

I know Slug's in there, and I saw magicbus's grad photo (I nearly died laughing).

Other than that, I've never seen anyone from this thread. I'm just looking for a good photo of me to go in.

ON TOPIC - Anyone like Tom Waits?

BludgeonySteve 09-14-2005 07:21 PM

My school schedule is the best highschool schedule possible.

8:05-1:39 PLUS theres no school on fridays...EVER.

downside is I have 0 hour seminary at a different school so I have to wake up at 5:30 and go to that on fridays still =(

and Arizona is pretty bad for good concerts..Wish i still lived in sweet california =/

That is an awesome high school schedule.

I didn't know there was an mx photo album.

I don't know anything about Tom Waits, so I'll just change the subject. How awesome is the version of Mother from Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live?

Flaminghotchino 09-14-2005 07:27 PM

dammm this thread moves to fast for me. I hope I didn't miss anything interesting the last couple of pages...

by the time I have posted this there prolly will of been 9 posts since I started typing it.

Walrus Gumboot 09-14-2005 07:27 PM

I heard Terrapin Station.

I was expecting a coked-up piece of crap, but I was humbled beyond words. The title track is the only 16 minute song I have ever been able to listen to without even wanting to fast forward, I love it. I wonder if Lesh was the one behing all of the classical string work, etc. I know he was relaly into that

And Dancin' In The Streets is comically bad. The bassline is goorvy as always, though

The mx photo album is linked in the pit.

And I don't think I've ever heard of that live Floyd album.

Want a good long song that fast forwarding won't even slip into your mind at all? Listen to Pink Floyd's Dogs..

Whenever I have a long car trip I just listen to that and it kills 17 minutes so fast.

Yeah, it would certainly reel in the cashola. I would like to see Cream live at the Albert Hall as I have never seen any footage of them live.

JonG 09-14-2005 07:32 PM

I heard the bootleg of the shows in London, that is about it.

I just got done listening to "Garcia" and the first 5-6 tracks are great, but it falls off in the middle there, with that instrumental. But then regains at the last 2 songs.

I like the bootleg. Most people seemed to be disappointed by it if I remember right.

I can now extract the files successfully :D
i hope badmoon comes back, he has music that i need and cant find anywhere else.
You ain't gettin' those albums, boy.

Give it time, and I'll send them through AIM or something; YSI's is always trouble for me.
Why'd he leave?
I had to read a book...or two, and then I kept reading. I read almost five books while I was away.

Flaminghotchino 09-14-2005 07:46 PM

Schyma seems like the kinda person I would really like, or really hate.

Anyone ever seen the movie Fear and Loathing? people say I kinda look like gonzo haha..

I barely see the resemblence..I am neither mexican nor samoan..
