Deicide has had some excellent albums in the past but later turned to s[SIZE=2]h[/SIZE]it. Dark Angel isn't "just thrash." Darkness Descends will slay just about any thrash that has come out since its release.

Been really getting into this. Dead's vocals are great.

dead is so overrated but ill completely agree that hes a great vocalist no doubt.


and on my list of extremely overrated albums: Scream Bloody Gore. that ought to get some conversation going. sure its a great album but i think death kept getting better with each release with SBG being the worst. chris reifert was detrimental to the growth of death with his sh[I]i[/I]tty gore concepts. and while im mentioning death i must also include that rick rozz from leprosy is one of the most 1 dimensional lead players ive ever heard. every solo he does involves a trill plus some whammy action.

Just because he shot himself he is like the hero of black metals.

Not really. Dead's incredibly tortured vocals is what made him so popular around the black metal scene, and his death didn't really spawn it any further. When you hear his vocals on early rehearsals and Live in Leipzig, you'll know what I'm talking about.

i have the cd. his vocals are awesome, i just think hes a bit overrated, and i also agree he has tortured vocals. at least he was sincere about what he did, it wasn't some gimmick for him.

That Morbid EP Justin mentioned is my favourite release involving Dead.

yeah many seem to like it quite a bit but its just chilling on my ipod with a million other things i need to check out.
