they're up for another CMW award, hah. I'd heard they were nominated for "Best Punk/Hardcore" but that was last year (which they won). This year they're up for best Metal band.

as though Protest is giving us anything to talk about, we're 2+ years since their last album. Gallop Meets the Earth was pretty weak. and there's no hints as to what the new album will sound like yet. we could rehash our favorite conversations from when Fortress and Kezia were new and exciting: what's your favorite Kezia song? or Which album do you think is better Fortress or Kezia?

haha the only one i have major troubles with is sequoia throne but i know what you mean man, they're challenging.

I can play Bloodmeat and The Dissentience. I was going to figure out all the songs from Fortress but I got sort of bored. I occasionally play the tapping bits in their songs. I even have a video of me playing the dissentience lol. One of my pick ups stop working at the end of the song so I never uploaded it to anywhere. Problem with the tabs are the fingering positions are really weird if the one who wrote it did it by clicking the notes instead of tabs. That's the only challenge I had.

yeah my friend tried to learn through tabs and that was his major complaint, the fingering positions are really weird and he had to write out his own sometimes. i wouldn't even begin to try and touch them though, my guitar isn't intonated correctly at all and i couldn't do some of the runs on the higher end of the fretboard

Yeah if you have a non jumbo fret guitar higher end bits can be a bit annoying.
