Generally my first impression of an album secures my opinion on it.

Phil 03-19-2007 10:06 PM
?

You form opinions of albums after one listen? That's absurd.
Sometimes, it all depends on the band/album.

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-19-2007 10:06 PM

Are you serious?

That's never happened to me. Ever.

Well maybe once, and it was Lateralus, but wtvr.

Mine doesn't. In fact last night I went through my Sputnik ratings and got rid of albums which I rated on early impressions.

It's an effect of having awesome taste and awesome knowledge of what's to come.

:-B

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-19-2007 10:07 PM

Same. I went back and looked at some early-impression ratings and laughed at myself.

Phil 03-19-2007 10:09 PM

I better do that as well actually as most of them were made early last year I think.

Txus 03-19-2007 10:09 PM

I'm with Jake in this.

Kage 03-19-2007 10:11 PM

It depends for me I reckon. Sometimes a first impression sticks. Then you realize your entire liking for something is riding on that first impression and you find you have to dig a little deeper. Maybe you don't like it as much anymore then. Then later something sparks a memory--a smell, a sight, a feeling of loneliness--and you realize your first impression was right all along.

Grumma 03-20-2007 04:22 AM

Dude how do you have over 1,000 posts a month?

Oh wait, you spam religiously.
Nevermind

Eliminator 03-20-2007 04:31 AM

That is irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Stop spamming.

Grumma 03-20-2007 04:37 AM

Your post was irrelevant

Eliminator 03-20-2007 04:39 AM

My post was perfectly relevant to your post concerning the relevancy of my posts to threads that I post in.

Grumma 03-20-2007 04:40 AM

But your first post was irrelevant which makes the connecting posts irrelevant also

Eliminator 03-20-2007 04:43 AM

My first post was relevant to a specific user with whom the reference/joke was directed at. Although irrelevant to the overall thread, my posts could also be considered relevant to a new chain of posts in which a different topic is discussed.
