punkrBadreligion 08-28-2004 02:09 AM

personally i think the gretest band of all time is Pink Floyd. Roger Waters and David Gilmour are awesome song writers who could have easily gone off in their own direction. if a band were to come back like them, the would bring back rock and roll into the modern world.

Creedence Clearwater 08-28-2004 02:09 AM
And the who are gods.
I agree, its a band full of legends in their own right

Badmoon 08-28-2004 03:25 AM
I dunno, say has anyone seen the kids are alright? amazing dvd, gotta love barbara anne .
Yeah, I bought that awhile ago, and have probably watched to it 100 times.
barbara anne
Broken Arrow 08-28-2004 06:46 AM
Ya it's nice to see him solo cause he rarely does it.

jpj 08-28-2004 08:50 AM

StreetlightRock 08-28-2004 08:59 AM

*waves* Anyone listen to any Slashs Snakepit? Some great stuff.

Oh yea, i watched the Zeppelin Live DVD - this song remains the same... some CRAZY stuff. The drum solo in Moby Dick and the ending 'Whole lotta love'.... Amazing.

DVG.

jpj 08-28-2004 09:03 AM

i've watched the zepoelin dvd like 3 times it's a must buy for any =one who likes classic rock

Broken Arrow 08-28-2004 09:14 AM

I have the Zeppelin DVD but not the song remaind the same. The DVD is Mind blowing

StreetlightRock 08-28-2004 09:46 AM

*cries* i know, i gonna get it someday.... I dunno, the song reminas the same is a little annoying sometimes cause they show these random clips, like some sorta music video, but i wanna watch the band playing but noooo, random clips. I swear, that DVD was edited so that it was made to watch while your stoned. Like, it has all these colours and random images and split screen and crazy shi't like that. like your ment to be on acid to watch it, heh.

DVG.

wanton 08-28-2004 09:49 AM

Anyone like Mott The Hoople?

magicbus 08-28-2004 09:49 AM
Isn't it on the ultimate collection?
Yea I have it. Its track 20 on disc 1.

magicbus 08-28-2004 09:51 AM
I have the Zeppelin DVD but not the song remaind the same. The DVD is Mind blowing
I have that one too, and its basically footage of them playing the whole time. None of this goofy, acid stuff. Its pretty awesome.

Broken Arrow 08-28-2004 10:25 AM

I need help I just finished a review on Happy Trails by th Quicksilver Messanger Service what should i put them as? I was thinking along the line of western Physcidelic Rock or just plain Acid rock.

Paranoidd 08-28-2004 10:29 AM
I hate how people miss The Velvet Underground and Iggy & The Stooges, who I think are the greatest bands ever. Has anyone heard "Nico" or "Loaded" by the Velvet U or "Funhouse" or "Raw Powe" by The Stooges? You're all missing out.
<---- Loves the Velvet Underground.
<---- Loves Iggy Pop.

I even have Lou Reed's recent solo stuff, albeit its not even close to the VU underground or the transformer (aka "I want to be david bowie") days.

Raw Power is the second greatest punk album ever, right after Nevermind the Bollocks, heres the sex pistols.

:D

I've heard that album a million times and this is what I'd say.

(Psychedelia/Acid/Rock) Quicksilver Messenger Service - Happy Trails

Broken Arrow 08-28-2004 10:54 AM

Nice Call^ Great Album isn't it.

Badmoon 08-28-2004 11:02 AM

RockAndRoll 08-28-2004 11:18 AM
Yeah, I bought that awhile ago, and have probably watched to it 100 times.
Broken Arrow 08-28-2004 11:58 AM

rock not the roll 08-28-2004 12:39 PM
Finished my reveiw. It's O.k. but not as good as Badmoon's reveiws. Oh well
It liked it. You're right. It's not as good as badmoon's reviews :p. Still good.

Badmoon 08-28-2004 12:53 PM

Well, I spend a lot of time on mine, so... :p

Good job

I just bought Gov't Mule - The Deepest End, their double disc live album with DVD. It's insane, and I'm only 3 songs in.

Paranoidd 08-28-2004 01:12 PM

Anybody heard of a band called Fred?

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 01:31 PM

Countdown to Allmans...4 hours. To bad Los Lonely Boys aren't playing though.

Badmoon 08-28-2004 01:33 PM

I'm expecting a review.

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 01:35 PM

I'm still not 100% on whether or not flash photograhpy is allowed.

Woodstock 08-28-2004 01:41 PM

Just sneak it.

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 01:42 PM

No, I don't want to be flashing a camera in the middle of the concert, and I don't want to risk it. I have huge respect for these guys, and if they don't want cameras, i'm not gonna do it.

Woodstock 08-28-2004 01:45 PM

Use a video camera then.

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 01:46 PM

O yea, good luck sneaking that in. I really don't want to risk either taken away.

Woodstock 08-28-2004 01:51 PM

Ok, what about a cell phone camera. Do you have one?

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 01:52 PM

I do, but do you really want pics that bad?

I have a question I feel kinda dumb asking. Does Guns N Roses have two singers, or does Axl have like two voices? Becuase on songs like Mr. Brownstone, there are there are two voices that sound completely different, but I guess they are both Axl. Whats up?

Woodstock 08-28-2004 01:52 PM

Better than no pics at all.

rock not the roll 08-28-2004 01:53 PM

w00t 4444 posts! Darn miik, I wanted that 4444th post :(

Edit: the bass player does backup vocals sometimes if that's what you mean.

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 01:56 PM

What? 4444? And it's not backup. It's lead, singing actual main vocals.

Paranoidd 08-28-2004 01:57 PM

^^^^

Duff (bass player) wrote songs on his own, and performed some of them with GnR. For example, "Dust n Bones" was a Duff song. Same with "fourteen years" from use your illusion 2. He does the main vocals, but Axl usually weasels his way in there, because there is no way he would do a song he couldn't sing on.

Against Miik! 08-28-2004 02:00 PM

Listen to Mr Brownstone. The verses don't sound a lot like Axl in other songs.
