i saw you like 16 times on the way home and i felt like a stalker.. except we were going to the same station so it wasnt that weird...

how come i ALWAYS see you on the way home, and never at the show?? maybe you secretly stand outside wishing you could come in.

Brain Toad 05-09-2008 03:29 PM

I finally got to listen to the "new" album. I dug it. Should probably listen again though.

Anyone remember the talk about the "99 songs of revolution"? ... Well, it looks like they are actually gonna make it!

From their site:

[I] 09.09.2008 | New Album(s) News
Ok, technically it's not a new original record, but here it is: A few years ago, when BOTAR (Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution) released it's first (and so far only) record, there was a mention in the liner notes of a large project called "99 Songs of Revolution". This is a collection of 99 cover songs, spanning all kinds of genres, all kinds of artists. Now, a few years later, it's all going down. And here are the details. Some of them, at least.

The 99 Songs of Revolution Project will consist of 8 full length records. Two from SM, two from BOTAR, and two each from two other SM related groups. Yes, this is indeed the record that Victory mistakingly posted as coming out in Oct of 08. Not sure how they got that date, but it was never even a possibility. The first SM record for 99SOR will be out in early 2009, simultaneously with another of the 8 CDs (no, not the BOTAR one). Victory will be putting out the CDs and mp3s and Pentimento will be releasing and distributing the vinyl. We are aware of our reputation to take forever to release records and miss our self imposed deadlines, so we are not giving anyone solid dates, not even our labels. Early 09 release, that's it. We are, though, working hard on it. The demos are all but done and we head into the studio to begin tracking in October. Our upcoming tour schedule, as you know, is borderline impossible/insane, so cut us some slack.

This will be a nice way for us to get into the studio and put out some "new" music as well as tide you guys over until our next full length. It's been a project that's been on the back burner for too long, and it's time to do something about it. Stay tuned to this site as well as the Pentimento site for more info over the coming weeks. Also make sure to keep peeking in on our other sites, as we're in the middle of working on a few projects that have been dormant for way too long.

I'm excited about this!

StreetlightRock 09-10-2008 06:40 AM

Holy s'hit thats epic. I'm excited and worried at the same time.

Collis 09-10-2008 07:58 AM

I'm gonna be seeing them live in December, and I have Everything Went Numb, Somewhere in the Between and Keasbey Nights. Will there be any more albums that I need so I know everything at the gig?

asdf 09-10-2008 02:40 PM

That is it. I'm a bit sad that I cannot see them October 13th, but I've seen them twice.

Knee Grow 09-10-2008 02:51 PM

I thought there were only those two.

Does their drummer play his kick with only one foot?

They probably won't play anything off of those, but just for the fun of it: Get bandits of the acoustic revolution's - "a call to arms" if you don't have it already!

And remember, the album is named Everything Goes Numb :p

Collis 09-11-2008 05:38 AM

Hah I always get that wrong.

Streetlight nub you see.

NMBlack 09-14-2008 08:33 AM

catch 22 is from my town basically. the bassist, pat kays, lives down the street from me and has a studio that no one really knows about in my town too. i went there and hung out when he recorded my friend's band and apart for being really expensive, it was real fun. we smoked blunts with him and talked for quite a while.

Jessizzle 09-21-2008 05:35 PM

what?? lololol

ant4tbc 09-29-2008 11:56 AM

i've seen these guys live twice now.
both shows were absolutely amazing.

musiclovr89 09-30-2008 04:39 PM

SnackaryBinx 09-30-2008 05:08 PM

ibanezman575 09-30-2008 07:39 PM

where is nutsack in VA?

SnackaryBinx 09-30-2008 07:40 PM

it's where I live, such a god awful boring town filled to the brim with strip malls that won't hire 17 year olds.

kris. 10-15-2008 11:51 PM

They need to come here. To Kansas.
My dad and I were seriously considering driving all the way from Kansas City to the Denver show. We decided not to, though. Wish we did...
But seriously. They need to come to Kansas. I have yet to see one of their shows.

We were lucky enough to film Streetlight Manifesto's recent show at Sydney's Annandale Hotel. You can watch the party here:

the-UK-ska-scene 01-05-2009 11:02 AM

i saw them on the last night of their uk tour and immediately regretted not going to see every other show of that tour. they played freakin it's a wonderful life. so so so gutted i didn't get to see that more than once. they played loads more off everything goes numb as well, and not too much from their newer cd which is good because i don't have it. it was amazing.
