they sure can. i also saw Project 86 with Inhale Exhale and Showbread, and they were all pretty intense, especially Inhale Exhale.

Kage 08-28-2007 01:27 PM

Project 86 aren't very original.

DJTeeLay 08-28-2007 01:27 PM

Name one band that sounds remotely ANYTHING like them.

renegademonk 08-28-2007 02:14 PM

I used to listen to a Christian metal band called Mortification, I remember their double bass sounded like someone dribbling a basketball close to the floor real fast. lol
And Living Sacrifice they were good. Not all good metal is death.:->

publicastration 08-28-2007 02:16 PM

Mortification are horrendous.

renegademonk 08-28-2007 02:21 PM
Mortification are horrendous.
Yes thats why I said "used to" lol!

How about Necrophagist!!! Oooops wrong board. lol :)

jrowa001 08-28-2007 06:18 PM

project 86 are just a hard rock band, nothing real original. living sacrifice were a pretty good band back in the day. i have their greatest hits album that has some newer songs on it like In Christ which has a killer intro. lyrics are a little too preachy but it doest bother me much

Dimmu Burger 08-28-2007 06:27 PM

Maylene and The Chariot own.

jrowa001 08-28-2007 06:29 PM

the Chariot sucks, but Maylene on the other hand kick ***. if you like maylene then i recommend this band Revolution Mother, theyre not christian but they play awesome southern metal

illpressureurhinges1 08-28-2007 06:51 PM
Maylene and The Chariot own.
cheers to that! both are sick live

DJTeeLay 08-28-2007 08:32 PM
project 86 are just a hard rock band, nothing real original.
You must not have listened to anything from them to come to that conclusion.
I'm not a huge fan of Project (they're good, and they're sick live, but nothing too huge to defend), but I have not heard anything from them that sounds anything like any other band existence besides maybe a couple of songs off their self-titled, back when they didn't establish their own style yet.

Also, no one has a vocal style even close to their frontman, Andrew Schwab. Their new CD has some unoriginal songs on there, but every song on that CD is a different genre for the most part.

Mike V's band?
I love Mike V, but his band is not that good at all.

Shred Danson 08-29-2007 08:12 AM
My point is there are original Christian bands out there.
But not all of them are good.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 08:32 AM
Maylene and The Chariot own.
I don't like Maylene, and The Chariot is mediocre.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 09:22 AM

Oh wait.

Shred Danson 08-29-2007 09:26 AM

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 09:27 AM

Ok. It's easy.

I have to mention Stryper too :D

Shred Danson 08-29-2007 09:42 AM

I can only hope to be as hilarious as you one day.

I have to mention Stryper too :D
I know the members of that band.
They were good for their time considering the crappy glam rock bands around at the same era.
everyones a crappy metalcore band to you
No, every Metalcore band that has come out in the past couple years that sound remotely like any other band is crappy to him.

Shred Danson 08-29-2007 10:33 AM
They sound like a crappy metalcore band.
Not really.
yah. theyre pretty gud. i saw them last week
Nice. They're some good dudes. And they put on a hell of a show too.

Yes, Tracy Ferrie is my bass teacher.
Yes, Tracy Ferrie is my bass teacher.
oh snaps!!!

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 10:36 AM

What?
Are you denying I know the members of Stryper?

I'm friends with [Micheal Sweet's] daughter, Lina, and his son.

His wife has been a cancer patient for a long time, but she's doing better now.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 10:37 AM

His son is like 6 months old, dude.

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 10:38 AM

What?
Dude his daughter is 16 and his son is 18.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 10:38 AM

Tracy Ferrie? Are we talking Tracy Ferrie?

Yes, his wife is doing better.

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 10:39 AM

No, the lead singer of Styper.
Micheal Sweet.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 10:41 AM

Way to not clarify. Ok then yes. Tracy just had another son about 6 months back.

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 10:43 AM

Oh, sorry.
Yes, Tracy Ferrie is my bass teacher.
^ That sounded like a sarcastic phrase denying I know Stryper.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 10:45 AM

Well, one, it wasn't, and two, even if it was, you still just said "I know his wife".

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 10:48 AM

I never said the words "I know his wife."

Anyways, is he really your bass teacher or are you playing me?

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 10:49 AM

Oh God, I'm terrible at clarifying, I'm sorry.

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 11:00 AM

No, he's my bass teacher.

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 11:04 AM

That's pretty cool.
Where are you from?

LifeInABox 08-29-2007 11:18 AM

Cape Cod.

DJTeeLay 08-29-2007 11:26 AM

Oh, cool.
I go there for vacation in Eastham every year.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
