My friend's eye after it got cut in half with a piano wire.

nicatterberry 07-03-2006 11:55 PM

That look's like it feels great.

In other news, I met a local band's bass player. They are one of the best band's around. Bassist was really down to earth, works at a health food store. Cool guy.

Aerodyne 07-04-2006 12:02 AM

Joni Mitchell's Hejira. Officially my new favorite jaco song. It's amazing! Almost amazing as my new amp.

Me!

Az_Holl 07-04-2006 01:38 AM

Those Montery jazzes look pretty good, if it got new pickups it would be ace!

My quater pounder and i will weep for you.

good rats 07-04-2006 01:42 AM

Yea they aren't bad. Really sturdy basses.

When I get the money I might buy another one and change the PUPs and bridge and what not.

Az_Holl 07-04-2006 01:44 AM

Dimarzio.

Go, go, go!

Im looking into getting a rig now, but its going to cost me, like, a brazillian dollars.

good rats 07-04-2006 01:46 AM

What kind of rig?

My plan for equipment ATM is to probably buy another bass. A fretted. Not sure yet. Either a Yamaha BB414 or a Monterey I can mod.

Then some kind of amp.

Criss Frantic 07-04-2006 01:52 AM

My first bass (aka the zebra) was a monterey P bass. I loved it. It really took a beating too, and was always reliable. Better than the squier i got that fell apart. With decent pickups it'd be killer.

What's going on with the forums? No new threads since last night. Very strange...

Az_Holl 07-04-2006 01:53 AM

MY bass is in stereo, so i pretty much need 2 separate amp systems.

Definition output- Effects>BBE Bmax preamp>DBX 266XL compressor>QSC power amp>power conditioner>4x10 cab.

Bass output- Sansamp BBI preamp>QSC poweramp>power conditioner>4x12 cab.

Thats a shitload of cash.

blizzard 07-04-2006 02:02 AM

Hey people

Adam you relise that you don't put a power conditioner in line with your sound, it just protects your gear from power surges and the like.

I know what it does, but i dont have alot of experiance with live sound etc.

Just a general idea.

Az_Holl 07-04-2006 02:07 AM

My french fries have arrived.

See ya later alligator.

blizzard 07-04-2006 02:08 AM

Ok, your rig plans reminds me a little of Led Zeps plans when he wanted that absolutely crazy setup. (your is a more sane though).

I like the Yamaha though it looks a little cheesy for me.
