Doctor Night 11-26-2005 03:55 PM

Whats the date for Pulse to come out?

Leper 11-26-2005 04:09 PM

Among a host of other albums, I added Meddle and Animals to my Christmas list today.:)

ROH 11-26-2005 04:33 PM

I'm pretty sure Pulse is coming out on December 20th in the USA.

Doctor Night 11-26-2005 04:35 PM
As far as I'm aware, it's December 12 in the UK, although I think it's a bit later in the USA. It's coming out before Christmas anywhere that it's being released though, so we can all get it before then. That's the only Floyd related album on my Christmas list, since I own anything else by them which I'd actually want to spend money on (well, barring shirts and stuff like that I guess.)
Thanks.

My Parents already got my Christmas Albums.
My Parents already got my Christmas Albums.
Mine too. The only Floyd album I'm getting other than the Pulse dvd is Meddle because my old copy skips about every 10 seconds.

Aw3someman 11-26-2005 07:21 PM

Kingofdudes 11-26-2005 08:08 PM

I heard they pushed the Pulse release date to January. I hope it isnt true :-/

Friggen Earthlings 11-26-2005 08:17 PM
The only sync that I found to work was the 2001/Echoes sync. It's awesome.
thats just for the end bit, isnt it? when the guys flying through all those colours and everything?
thats what i heard...

Echoes is an awesome some :thumb:

i havent had too much of a look at the DSotM and Wizard of Oz sync, but from what i saw it was pretty impressive. a lot of it is probably psychological, but still, i was impressed.

Hey what do ya'll know about the pink floyd lazer light show? is it any good?
It's coming here so that's why I was wondering

They were showing that in my town a while back. I didn't get to go, but my dad did and he said it was really cool. I would definitely go if you get the chance. I remember it being kind of pricey, but it would probably be worth it.

Spikey69 11-27-2005 12:39 AM

I thought their performance at live 8 was fantastic, by far the best act..All the oldies there did fantastically. :thumb:
By the way....Led-Zepplin your avatar is..erm..well interesting..But it also looked very painful

Danger Bird 11-27-2005 01:03 AM
Have any of you guys sync'd up 2001: A Space Odssesy with Echoes? It actually works eeriely well. Definitely try it out.

http://www.eeggs.com/items/30914.html - Instructions
Yeah, I actually posted that on the last page. It's great!

You can also do Ummagumma with 2001: A Space Odyssey (the monkey part) and Piper at the Gates of Dawn with Army of Darkness.

Spikey69 11-27-2005 01:10 AM

Led-Zepp.....Are those breasts on that girl real? Cos I'm twitching while she does that....It looks very painful..It can't be good for her.

ヴェア ラッセル 11-27-2005 02:14 AM

To those asking for the synced version of Dark Side of the Rainbow, I got it off of limewire so I have no idea where else it can be found.

Riva 11-27-2005 04:03 AM

i dont know anything about that, but ive got an .mpg of Comfortably Numb done at a concert (best.... solo.... EVER!! sooo much better than on The Wall album... jaw-dropping, i swear)
and the lights on that are amazing as well. lots of smoke, lots of lasers, and there was even a fucking big disco-ball that dropped from the roof, spreading balls of light all over the entire auditorium... and then it opened up and blossomed into this massive shape, dunno what the hell it was, but it was incredible.

all during the solo.

i've also got a friend who went to see Australian Pink Floyd, and apparently the performance they put on, music AND lights, is incredible.

so if you go and see that show, you'll be sure to be in for a good time.

hmm btw, what is this thing, anyway? coz the Floyd's have been broken up for years... so what exactly is this show your talking about?

It's not a live act or anything, you sit in a theatre and they play Floyd and put on a laser show.

I could never rank all my Pink Floyd albums. I love them all, and have so many.

Bazarov 11-29-2005 09:18 PM

I just got Ummagumma today, I don't know, it kind of bored me. I haven't listened to both discs all the way through, I'm going to give them another chance and a full listen. Does anyone else like this album?

I love the live album. The lengthy psychadelic songs they played are really awesome, and the whole thing gives me a feeling of really being there.

As for the studio disc, the songs are alright. Nothing spectacular, but listenable.

It's the intros of the songs which is boring me. Like Careful with that Axe, Eugene. The first 3 minutes I was just waiting for something intresting to happen and then around 4-5 minutes the guitars came in and I thought it sounded awesome.

Several Species of Small Fury Animals Gathered.............. I actually thought this song was pretty good. But I'm not done, there'll probably be a few more that I like.

Spinal Pap 11-29-2005 10:00 PM

I love the first 3 minutes of Careful With That Axe, Eugene, it sounds so eerie.

robo2448 11-29-2005 10:07 PM
I love the first 3 minutes of Careful With That Axe, Eugene, it sounds so eerie.
It builds the song up and makes the climax so much better.

magicbus 11-30-2005 10:55 AM
It builds the song up and makes the climax so much better.
Yea I love the build up, especially when you can hear the bass get louder and louder, and then it breaks into the screams. That part ruuuuuuuuuules.

But yea Butcher, I can understand why you'd find that part boring. To me, it just seems to fit.
