I highly doubt it. Inhaling that hard to get that high of a pitch could easily damage his vocal chords beyond repair. I'm sure he just has a natural talent for it and has spent much time perfecting them, but like black metal vocalists.

Lord Abortion 08-29-2005 04:45 PM

Dani seems an incredibly intelligent, literate and general great bloke from what I have seen of him, you got to meet him

Rothmans 08-29-2005 05:00 PM

Danni in interviews anyway is one of the most interesting read's he does talk some bollocks but he always fun to read.

DavidFilth 09-08-2005 07:23 AM

In an interview to promote CaTB that I d/l'd, Dani mentions The Who as one of his greatest musical influences...... ;)

Lord Abortion 09-08-2005 02:16 PM

Probably, along with Iron maiden, and whatever else is listed there in the member's chamber on the site...

DavidFilth 09-20-2005 07:08 AM

I recall in "Revolver Magazine", or something like that, Dave Pybus gets interviewed and is asked about the writing process for the band.......Dave says that Dani will lock himself away for weeks until he is done with the lyrics. He also says that Dani has a ton of books and pr0n lying around his writing area.........

Aberrationbass 09-20-2005 02:54 PM

right dudes im seeing them in December and im now that clued up on all there songs because i dont have the entire catologue (its huge) so i was wondering what songs to swat up on that there gonna play..........any suggestions?

Huber 09-20-2005 02:58 PM

I'm gunna check the tour dates. I'd like to see CoF live.

Lord Abortion 09-20-2005 02:59 PM

I'm going to see them in Newcastle in December when I get me ticket ordered tomorrow.

Cradle change the setlist massively from tour to tour.#

They have very few songs they are sure to play, even the new stuff may not be as prevalent as last time as they don't have to support the new album.

Huber 09-20-2005 03:00 PM

****it, it's a UK tour.

Are they doing a US one afterwards? Or something else afterwards?

Shadows 09-20-2005 03:06 PM

I'm pretty sure it's just a UK tour. Afterwards they'll probably settle down and finish the new album.

Too late.

Nice post dude, you didn't even state a reason why don't be surprised if you get banned.

Audiopond 09-20-2005 04:16 PM

These guys are awesome Dani does great vocals. I have most of their cds and love em. \m/

It's a good thing that you are banned.

Hey, I saw that a guy made an unnecessary CoF thread, so I bumped this one back up for use.

Lord Abortion 09-21-2005 04:27 PM

CATHEDRAL!!!!!!!!
Have been booked as main support for the UK tour

/so excited I may have an accident before long.

DavidFilth 09-23-2005 02:35 PM

I recently got the ENTIRE cradle discography (Demos Included!) and am Considering posting some reviews of them in this thread; you know, for the new cradle fans! The only album I don't have is the live album they released right after The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, it is VERY Rare.......

My Email address is olliethegreat_6 @hotmail.co.uk :)

Hint, hint.

I have no demos...and I am especially kind to babies and children....and puppies.

DavidFilth 09-23-2005 02:54 PM

Sure thing man! Just give me some time......and $$$$ ( :p )

I'll start the reviews tommorrow morning, starting with their demo "Invoking the Unclean" (1992)

TemperamentalGoat 09-23-2005 02:56 PM

I've got the whole thing too. Their first demos are barely audible, it's pretty cool. I'm currently listening to the pissing poor production on "Invoking the Unclean", what I think is their first ever demo. Now that's raw and necro.

DavidFilth 09-23-2005 02:58 PM

They were much more "Thrash" at the time, well I will put up the review here tommorrow!

Oh yeah, the quality of sound is....well you know!

Lord Abortion 09-23-2005 02:59 PM

TFD was a death metal demo...

DavidFilth 09-23-2005 05:43 PM

Yeah, Dani's vocals were more "Dying Fetus" than now.......but the guitar work really reminds me of slayer, epecially Black Goddess Rising, which is off another demo, not "Invoking the Unclean".

Shadows 09-23-2005 05:48 PM

Black Goddess Rising was also on The Principle of Evil Made Flesh. Best song on the album too.

DavidFilth 09-23-2005 05:55 PM

"Bitter Suites to Succubi" had a really good remake of BGR, with little changes in song structure; it's just in better sound quality!

Shadows 09-23-2005 05:57 PM

I hated the BStS remake of it. :( Almost as much as the remake of The Principle of Evil Made Flesh.

Thor 09-24-2005 07:57 AM
I hated the BStS remake of it. :( Almost as much as the remake of The Principle of Evil Made Flesh.
Did you like The Principle of Evil Made Flesh as a whole album? Because I think it's Cradle's best album ever.

Lord Abortion 09-24-2005 08:35 AM
I hated the BStS remake of it. :( Almost as much as the remake of The Principle of Evil Made Flesh.
I hate those remakes, they ruin it.
Did you like The Principle of Evil Made Flesh as a whole album? Because I think it's Cradle's best album ever.
I do like, but I think it's one of their weaker ones. I like Dusk and Midian the best, but I love all of their albums.

Lord Abortion 09-25-2005 10:19 AM

I like The principle.. it's great.

Their only true BM album.

/just ordered the newcastle tickets :D

Thor 09-25-2005 10:20 AM
I do like, but I think it's one of their weaker ones. I like Dusk and Midian the best, but I love all of their albums.
You even love ****ation and a Day? Most people hate that one.

Lord Abortion 09-25-2005 11:01 AM
You even love ****ation and a Day? Most people hate that one.
I quite like DAAD...but it's not as good as other albums...it's a bit meh for me.

Shadows 09-25-2005 11:05 AM
You even love ****ation and a Day? Most people hate that one.
Yes I do. It took me a while to get into, because at first I felt the orchestra was a little ridiculous and there are more 'meh' songs than usual. Now I think the orchestra wasn't overdone at all, and although there are several 'meh' songs, there are some incredible songs to balance it out very well.

Thor 09-25-2005 11:09 AM

TPoEMF was just a masterpiece, plain and simple. I think I'm gonna have to make a review for that because you only gave it a 3.5 out of 5.

Shadows 09-25-2005 11:11 AM

Go right ahead. I think it's one of their weakest albums personally, hence the 3.5/5. I should re-write DaaD because I think it's at least a 4 now.

Huber 09-25-2005 11:17 AM

Yeah, it was pretty raw and all that, but it wasn't all to great. 3.5/5 sounds
about right.

Midian, Dusk and Her Embrace, and ****ation and a Day will always be my favorites, though Nymphetamine is growing on me A LOT.

Shadows 09-25-2005 11:25 AM

Nymphetamine has some ****ing incredible lead/harmonized riffs. The only thing I didn't like about that album was Dani's vocals - he was holding back and din't use his really scream like in the past. Other than that the album was perfect. At least a new album is in the works - I'm excited already.

The guitar on Nymphetamine is better than any other guitar work they have ever done...
Maybe apart from the first album...
Filthy little secret is a prime example of this...

Shadows 09-25-2005 11:48 AM

 I thought the guitar work on the first album was their most simplistic.

Nymphetamine had amzing guitar like Filthy Little Secret, Nemesis, Absinthe With Faust, Medusa and Hemlock, etc. Some brutally catchy stuff there.
