She was expecting you to chuckle after?

 Agreed.

Illmatic 04-10-2005 09:24 PM
She was expecting you to chuckle after?
She laughed, and she said afterwards that it was a joke, so clearly she expected me to be somewhat amused. Even though all I could think about when she said it was how I had erased everything I had been working for.

Endless Obsession 04-10-2005 09:24 PM

Every1 is so mean around here. :upset: :upset:

Does she know you are angry with her?

Jom 04-10-2005 09:26 PM

Ray, you seriously need to talk to your girl. You need to explain that you were shocked by her actions.

I miss Calvin and Hobbes. I think I have every single collection, and they never get old.

I also miss Citizen Dog.

I started breathing again.

ATM 04-10-2005 09:26 PM

I love Calvin and Hobbes. I still read them sometimes. I also have a lot of Far Side, which are good.

Yes.
Ray, you seriously need to talk to your girl. You need to explain that you were shocked by her actions.
I did. I told her exactly how I felt after she told me it was "just a joke". I'm still shocked.

After she expected you to chuckle, I mean.

EDIT: I'm always slow off the mark.

Since this is now a useless post otherwise..what is this Egypt bombing Antihero mentioned?
I love Calvin and Hobbes.
Haha that reminds me. My friends cats are named Calvin and Hobbes, both boys. And one year i was over his house like a couple days before christmas and the lower branches were shaking, we looked under their and they were fucking in the ass. It was disgusting, but actuually pretty funny.

ATM 04-10-2005 09:29 PM

I'm sure her family thought it was hilarious too. They are probably still high-fiving over the pure hilarity of it.

A terrorist working alone made a crude nailbomb and set it off in Old Cairo, in a plaza that draws a lot of tourists. Four are dead, and 34 (I think) wounded.

Oh, definitely. It was a barrel of laughs in that household for sure.

God, I still can't believe it. I don't know how she could think that it was funny, or how she could joke about it so casually, or how she didn't realize the seriousness of the issue. Did she really think anyone involved would have gotten a kick out of it? I just don't get it.

Oh, okay. That's weird though, this is the first I've heard of this. Maybe the royal wedding is overshadowing actual news in my country at the moment.

"Sally and Johnny love my hat!!"

"Johnny calls me 'da man!' That puts me at ease. It makes me feel comfortable, because I am Black and that's how Black folks talk to one another."

Is that site a joke?

Either way it's funny.

ATM 04-10-2005 09:37 PM

Of course it's a joke. It's hilarious.

"Sally and Johnny always ask me how the entire black community feels about certain topics. I really respect this about them because I am black and therfore obviously know how all blacks feel about everything!"

I probably would have died. Seriously. I would just excuse myself and not leave until I calmed down. There isn't exactly a fine line between joking and not joking... you have to seriously cross a huge line in order to mess something up like that.

My roommate's actions has ruined my week... but I'm not going to let that stop me. I have sixteen more days with this douche, and then I will be glorious.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. You're one of the millions who doesn't know or care.

ATM 04-10-2005 09:39 PM

I didn't know anything about it either.

Charles has remarried, yeah. I don't really understand why he and Camilla didn't just marry each other in the first place.

I didn't doubt you were serious, though :)

Jom 04-10-2005 09:43 PM
Wait, what?
I'm saying that if I was in your position, I would have died on the spot.

I would have excused myself (from the company of the girlfriend) until I could compose myself again.

I'm not saying that there is a fine line between joking and not... the line is very distinct.

Clarified? :-\

I meant to say "and left" but a "not" made its way into there.
