I bought IKSSE:3 when it first came out wayy before most people heard them. I got my cd booklet thing signed by Mike (the bassist) and I took a picture with him. They were my favorite band last year. I also met Claudio.
Nice. For some reason, they seem really approachable.

poppiest: Blood red summer
Least: I KSOSE: 3

hey, you're not cory! 05-29-2005 10:09 PM

I found my CD!

I got one friend into them a lot...now he loves them.

"Blood Red Summer" is easily their poppiest because well, the whole point of it was to write a good pop song.

"Delirium Trigger" and "Velorium Camper III: Al the Killer" are the least poppy.

cbmartinez 05-29-2005 10:10 PM

I listened to "Delerium Trigger" today. What an amazing song, definitely better than any one on IKSOSE.

It's a powerful song, I give it that. But, IMO, Light And Glass has it beat.

Nice. And thanks for the nomination. :thumb:

Thats my second favorite song on SSTB.

Just wait until you hear Everything Evil.

cbmartinez 05-30-2005 02:00 PM

Yeah, I have DT on the Warped Tour 03 compiliation, but I hadn't listened to it in so long. It's really awesome, like I said, better than the stuff on IKSOSE.

cobert 06-03-2005 08:50 PM

Am i the only person on earth that think "elf tower, New Mexico" is one of COnCA's best songs?

hey, you're not cory! 06-03-2005 10:54 PM

Probably, that song is weak.

Rancid Dan 06-04-2005 04:10 AM

I love Blood Red Summer at the moment....

Sep 06-04-2005 01:15 PM

I love the bit on the DVD when they let the crowd do all the Oh-oh-ohohoh's in Blood Red Summer.

DJ Ducksauce 06-04-2005 10:10 PM

I love playing Travis's part on Blood Red Summer. Very fun. The Light and the Glass is also really fun to play.

cobert 06-05-2005 11:58 AM
Probably, that song is weak.
Thats what it seems like. I love it, though.
I love the bit on the DVD when they let the crowd do all the Oh-oh-ohohoh's in Blood Red Summer.
Its even better in IKSOSE when the crowd does the chorus part at the end.

DJ Ducksauce 06-06-2005 10:27 AM

bump
Its even better in IKSOSE when the crowd does the chorus part at the end.
I'm pretty sure that's the bassist- at least in the beginning?

cobert 06-06-2005 03:23 PM
I'm pretty sure that's the bassist- at least in the beginning?
Nah, i think its all the crowd. Mic just says "you know this part" and the crowd does the chorus.

EDIT: Oh, and if you listen really close in a few parts, the crowd is singing Devil in Jersy City over the band instruments and claudio.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-06-2005 08:49 PM

Claudio falls into a dream at the end of Second Stage Turbine Blade and is dreaming this dreamed reality all the way through The Crowing which is claudio who is supposed to be some kind of messiah in cuts marked in the march of men it is a battle between jesse and the red army chase is not a real person she is an I-Robot and she is jesse's daughter you could say because in the SSTB comic that is released she is created by jesse and jesse does give himself up for her because she is captured and then three evils is about jesse being tortured IKSOSE is about leading up to the battle and then claudio wakes up in the crowing and he realizes what he must do and Ambellina is a sort of fairy sent by the prise(people watching over man and waiting for the return of god) to watch over claudio in blood red summer claudio is in hiding and newo ikkin claudio's girlfriend is captured by al the killer a pshycopath killer who hates white girls and the velorium camper is his ship and those are all about al taking newo (he is actually just holding her for some people) in A favor house atlantic claudio rescues newo from al and they are being chased and in The Light and The Glass as you kno coheed and cambria are dead at the end of SSTB claudio is either writing to coheed or newo(not sure) maybe that was a lot and im not sure if anyone is even that familiar with the story but i absolutely love coheed and cambria and always love getting new info on the story and i love putting it together im constantly listening but i try and not put stuff up thats not for sure and most of this isnt proved yet but if u didnt kno coheed's fourth album "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV: Volume One Through Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness" will becoming out august or september and if anyone else loves talkin about the story my email is ZachIrish555@comcast.net and thats it

DJ Ducksauce 06-06-2005 09:58 PM

Isn't it From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness?

DepthsOfDreams555 06-07-2005 05:39 AM

ooops ya changed it thats what it was going to be then they changed it i dunno why i put down that one thanks

cobert 06-07-2005 07:03 AM

I actually think Al helps them.

The spaceship sound in the ring in return is the camper velorium taking off. I think Al is flying them to house atlantic (the capitol of paris earth) to kill mayo (claudio avenging his familys death). Think of it as the "hello apollo, where should i begin?" as claudio telling his story to newo aboard the camper velorium. Then when the camper velorium begins, its back to present day after he tells his story about his dream and him being the messiah.

Faint of heart explains al's obsession with his gun, and backend of forever is him being obsessed with newo. Al the killer shows the true psycopathic nature of Al, and he tries to kill Newo but is given a second chance (the killings no fun if the heros play dumb).

A favor house atlantic is the storming of house atlantic. The first verse is claudio teling newo that he wouldnt want anything bad to happen to her, so he has to cut the realationship short because of his new status as the crowing. The good eye snper part is Al covering chase and claudio as they escape house atlantic. II think newo is upset with the breakup, and while escaping the failed attack on house atlantic, and she wants to turn claudio over..."now you wanna kill me.....".

The light and the glass....I have no clue. But i have heard theories of claudio being captured and put on death row, and they all seemed pretty sensible.

Electric Ocean 06-07-2005 07:48 AM

That seems just as plausible as the other stuff I've heard about Al being evil, so now I'm confused . The "Good eye sniper, I'll shoot you run..." seems to make more sense if he was helping them while they attacked the House Atalantic too. Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait and find out. Any one know if theres a release date set for the new comic?

DepthsOfDreams555 06-07-2005 08:37 AM

ya but isnt mayo the one that made al hold newo in the first place

DJ Ducksauce 06-07-2005 10:51 AM

if you go to cobaltandcalcium.com it has like 2 different explanations of the songs. Those are their opinions though, but they're still good.

I think July is the new comic (for DIJC and Everything evil).
ya but isnt mayo the one that made al hold newo in the first place
These are all just theories. Nobody except claudio has a solid idea of what the lyrics mean (actually,i dont think claudio has a solid idea either).

DepthsOfDreams555 06-07-2005 03:06 PM

i kno im on cobalt and calcium ya thats what i think the new comic is about too but im not sure whats gunna happen after that cause on cobalt and calcium claudio had a post that said after good apollo comes out then it will be available on graphic novel like two months after.....i dunno if that jus means part of the novel like another comic or like actually a novel???? that wouldnt make much sense though i also heard that the comic is going to come out in six parts but if they are bringin em out about two songs at a time they are gunna have like 20 comics

The new comic is due out this winter

Electric Ocean 06-07-2005 03:11 PM

Ok cool, I really wanna get it when it's out. I bought the Second Stage... one when I saw them in April and it explained alot about the story.

TMA 06-07-2005 03:45 PM

Uhhhh... last I heard, the new comic was going to be shipped within close to the next month, and distrubuted at all places that sell them almost immideately.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-07-2005 08:26 PM

well that would be sweet if u heard that recently then i bet its true claudio had a post that he was sorry it was taking so long that he hoped it would be out late fall early winter but ur prolly right

cobert 06-08-2005 12:35 PM
well that would be sweet if u heard that recently then i bet its true claudio had a post that he was sorry it was taking so long that he hoped it would be out late fall early winter but ur prolly right
Yeah, new comic next month.

And iheard somewhere that after this one, a new comic will be out at least every month or so. I think he meant that after the good apollo comics are out a graphic novel will be available, it makes more sense that way.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-08-2005 03:24 PM

ya thats what i think cause it would jus be funky the other way well then thats tight im really lookin forward to it its gunna be tight

cobert 06-09-2005 07:42 PM

Question...

....What band (if there is any) would you say are similar to Co n Ca?

DepthsOfDreams555 06-09-2005 07:44 PM

well if ur talkin modern day i really couldnt tell ya but i think they are a lot like rush

cobert 06-10-2005 01:14 PM

Yeah, they get compared alot to rush. Claudio said in an interview that he (and to his knowledge, the rest of the band) have never actually listened to rush.

AnAmericanParadox 06-10-2005 03:25 PM

I can't stand them. The singer sounds like he has no testicles.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-10-2005 04:01 PM

what?? ya good call.....i read that interview too he said that he ended up listening to em and didnt even really like em

Electric Ocean 06-11-2005 06:38 AM
I can't stand them. The singer sounds like he has no testicles.
I nominate this for most original post of the month.

Anyway, Co&Ca do sound alot like Rush, but Claudio said that wasn't intentional. Also, I read something recently where he said that he was listening to Rush and something clicked and he really enjoyed them. Anyway, Rush are also a really good band 2112 is awesome.

I heard the same as depthsofdreams, that claudio didnt really like them. He said if he wouldve listened to them a while ago while he was getting into music he mightve, but not now. And i pretty much KNEW somebody was going to say rush.

Electric Ocean 06-11-2005 11:53 AM

Yeah I saw that too but then I saw a recent interview where he said he'd finally got into them.
Nobody in the band, before writing our last two records, really listened to Rush. But because of my voice we get comparisons a lot, and I'm now a fan of Rush. We wrote a song called "2113." It's the bonus track on the record. 2113 is actually a significant number for our story, but it's a throwback to 2112 as well
I found this here: http://www.eye.net/eye/issue/issue_04.01.04/music/qa.html

cobert 06-11-2005 12:13 PM

Well i guess that answers that question.
