I have most of Pink Floyd's and Led Zeppelin's, I really want some Maiden though. Also, i've been looking around for the Misfit's Vinyl releases, they are pretty hard to find.

shadow_stalker 11-13-2004 02:52 PM

i heared t.v. crimes on scuzz last night and i was wondering what album it is off

also is it dio?

Brew 11-13-2004 02:54 PM

^T.V Crimes is off the Dehumaniser album with Dio on vocals.

I have quite a bit of Misfits vinyl:

BEWARE Ep(on pink vinyl)
American Psycho
Project: 1950(on Purple vinyl)

ToRidTheDisease 11-13-2004 02:55 PM

Awesome man, Misfits kick ***, where did you get them?

Brew 11-13-2004 02:57 PM

Second hand cd shop that is now closed forever.

I just remembered I have Collection II on vinyl aswell :)

ToRidTheDisease 11-13-2004 02:59 PM

Lucky :thumb: haha. I'm going to the place tomorrow with $200, so I hope I can get some good stuff.

Brew 11-13-2004 03:18 PM

Sweeet.

What's happening to this thread? It was full of good discussion then it kinda died. Come on people, let's get something going.

Sabbath needs a new album

^METAL^MANIAC^666^ 11-14-2004 07:44 AM

I heard rumours in one if me guitar bands, they were talkin to Iommi and he said something about a new album

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 09:07 AM

That would be sweet, a new album. Sabbath and Ozzy hooked up and played at Ozzfest I believe. So maybe they like playing together again, hopefully :chug: I'd go to one of their concerts in a second :thumb:

CamelCaps 11-14-2004 10:03 AM

First timer

Sabbath are possibly the most creative influence in metal or rock ever, but they do need a new album. only one problem- vocalist.

Im not entirely sure of the situation between Iommi and Ozzy, and Iommi and Dio, but the reason Ozzy left, and Dio left twice seems to be because of clashes with Iommi

However, well worth listening to is Live Evil, which possibly reflects Sabbath more than any studio album ever could.

I also think that post-Ozzy Sabbath is not such a bad thing, and Dio is, afterall, another mammoth in Metal music.

And, lots of people may hate me for this, but he has a better voice than ozzy, but ozzy is....... OZZY, which is something Dio will never have

Best Sabbath song: Children of the Sea
Best Sabbath album: Black Sabbath
Best Ozzy song: Running out of time
Best Ozzy album: down to earth
Best Dio song: Sunset Superman
Best Dio album: Killing the Dragon

happy posting :thumb:

Well I went to the flea market today for some records, and I came back with a sword. They didn't have any records other than extremely old ones.
thats unlucky
Yeah, but hopefully my dad will take me to the big flea market where they have tons of classic rock records.

Brew 11-14-2004 10:46 AM

On the subject of a new Sabbath album, they recorded a few tracks for it back in 1999, but then Ozzy got pressured into releasing Down to Earth, and the band went their seperate ways again.

Now that they're back together, I think they want to try and get a new album done, but I'm not sure if it will happen.

Dio has said that he would like to work with Iommi again, but not Geezer and Bill.

I'm really hoping that they will do some stuff with Ozzy, but if not, it will still be awesome with Dio.

Brew 11-14-2004 11:02 AM

They'll probably do one more album with Ozzy, I know he's going to do another solo album.

It'd be cool for another album with Dio to be released, they could bring back Vinny on drums and find a bass player.

LoveBuzzed 11-14-2004 11:32 AM

Best Ozzy album is Down To Earth?! You've got to be kidding me!

Brew 11-14-2004 11:37 AM

Meh, lets not discuss Ozzy in here.

Please? :)

New Question: What is the best opening song of a Black Sabbath album? Apart from Black Sabbath and War Pigs :thumb:

LoveBuzzed 11-14-2004 11:49 AM

Oh, sorry about the Ozzy post, I just can't believe that that guy thinks Down To Earth is Ozzy's best album. Anyways, sorry to get things off track, continue. :)

Brew 11-14-2004 11:52 AM

^Don't worry about it :thumb:

Brooksyd2 11-14-2004 12:00 PM

Wheels Of Confusion from Vol 4!

Brew 11-14-2004 12:02 PM

^Good choice :thumb:

I quite like Neon Knights from Heaven and Hell, its a good fast opener and it shows that Sabbath can still make good music without Ozzy.

ToRidTheDisease 11-14-2004 12:03 PM

Sweat Leaf - Master of Reality.

Brew 11-14-2004 12:05 PM

Who can beat Tony's cough for the start of an album.

Answer: not many people.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 12:17 PM

I was just thinking of something. In the beginning of Iron Man, when Ozzy goes "I am Irrrrooonnnn Maaan" is that his real voice or some kind of effect? (trying to start more convo)

Brew 11-14-2004 02:36 PM

My guess is an effect.

I have no idea what effect it would be though.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:39 PM
My guess is an effect.

I didn't know they had effects back then

Brew 11-14-2004 04:40 PM

They had really basic effects, how would Geezer have got the Wah on the intro to N.I.B if they didn't have them?

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:41 PM

Brew 11-14-2004 04:43 PM

The bass solo before N.I.B, Geezer uses a wah/distortion effect.

So they had the basics back then - wah, distortion etc...

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:45 PM

Ah got it now. I'm kind of out of it today.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:45 PM

Can we keep talking so I can get to my fvcking 700th post?

Brew 11-14-2004 04:51 PM

Sure.

Erm...

Has anyone seen the Rob Halford shows from 1992? He messes up the start of Children of the Grave by beginning to sing too early, its pretty funny.

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:55 PM

Have not

s0ldsoul4roknrol 11-14-2004 04:56 PM

I will try to see it

ToRidTheDisease 11-14-2004 05:03 PM
