NemesisDivina 01-02-2008 03:48 PM

...but the thread title descrbies exactly what deathcore is.

Valhall 01-02-2008 03:49 PM

Rofl.

encmetalhead 01-02-2008 03:54 PM

i don't useally look in this section alot i just useally go to user CP and go to threads i've already posted in. So when i do go to this section i don't pay much attention to threads unless the name is clearly stated what the thread is about, but meh this is in my user CP now so no big deal.

hahah. did you like the tunes?

Luc2142 01-02-2008 11:05 PM

Holy **** I am obsessing over Veil Of Maya.

I don't know what it is about them but I absolutely love them.

i am the robots 01-03-2008 03:00 AM

Yeah, they're pretty much incredible, I just love how they have oldschool metalcore breakdowns in the middle of melodic death songs, and that their vocalist is amazing.
hahah. did you like the tunes?
Yeah, you guys were pretty good.

encmetalhead 01-03-2008 06:30 AM

Veil of maya is a great band

i am the robots 01-03-2008 06:47 AM

I absolutely love All Things Set Aside, but recordings don't exactly catch what they're like, they're seriously like 30x better live.

Their vocals are actually my least favorite part of them.

I'm also liking From Graves Of Valor, is the vocalist the guy that was on TTEODD's Bloodlust? I read they are made up of former TTEODD members and he sounds similar.

I think it's ridiculous and hilarious how they call themselves "death metal incarnate" though.

beans 01-03-2008 11:46 AM

Basically all these bands are kick a**
some honorable mentions
the red chord
veil of maya
kights of the abyss
JOB

Luc2142 01-03-2008 12:26 PM

holy **** I forgot about The Red Chord.

Great ****ing band.

I'm pretty sure it's the same guy.

Invicta_Veritas 01-03-2008 02:02 PM

Of Graves and Gods would be great if they didn't have such a crappy vocalist/vocal style.

No. Gunnels is wayyyy better than the guy FGOV has. Although. Gunnels' vocals were horrible on Bloodlust due to layering/distortion that totally ruined it.

botb 01-03-2008 03:39 PM

The vocalist from KOTA made a full recovery on blowing out his vocal chords or whatever he did and is now back with the band. haha.

encmetalhead 01-03-2008 03:53 PM

yeah FGOV has a vocalist that wasn't with TTEOTD

No, Anthony's in The Moultrie Killer now, Damon's one of his best friends though.

It's all the ****ing snow.

encmetalhead 01-03-2008 04:10 PM

it's f'n cold in the south this week it's f'n awesome though cause then you can just get in the blankets and stay warm

i am the robots 01-03-2008 04:11 PM

The snow in my area's cleared up a lot, actually, I think it's just because eastern PA = really gay scene, whilest western PA has an awesome scene from what I've heard... and the one band my band played with was epic as hell.

masscows 01-03-2008 04:12 PM

So they canceled in your area to play somewhere else? That's lame...

i am the robots 01-03-2008 04:40 PM

No, they were planning on playing in Pittsburgh and Pittston (not to be confused with Pittsburgh!), but not enough people were coming out to Pittston to even make the show worth it, they need to make money, you know?

beans 01-03-2008 06:04 PM

i hate when bands cancell shows, it makes me maddd!!!

What was wrong with Clients?

i am the robots 01-03-2008 06:39 PM

I always wonder that as well, I love that album.

LifeInABox 01-03-2008 06:41 PM

Why are we talking about The Red Chord here?

Clients was terrible when compared to their other albums. In the Death Metal genre it was average. It's not bad, it's just a bad followup to an amazing debut.
