I bought Famous Monsters, and the new Misfits sound a lot like my band, so I was kinda suprised about that- well, if Graves was a girl! :D The Forbidden Zone, Crawling Eye, Saturday Night, Living Hell, but especially Descending Angel and Helena, sound JUST like my band! To be honest, I prefer Graves *waits to be shot* to Danzig. I like the metally sound, but it kept the punk simplicity. I like it :)

Graves is considering joining again? That would rock. He's such an under-appreciated vocalist. Among the albums I've been using to teach myself to sing, American Psycho, Famous Monsters, and most of the Gotham Road mp3s a friend sent me are some of my favorites.

I absolutely love Graves on American Psycho, and everyone hates him! I don't understand it. But it's awesome that you're teaching yourself to sing from taht album, becasue it's fantastic. I used to listen to it constantly in like the 8th grade.

Graves is pretty good, but he's no Danzig.

who said they were hated here? anyways i actually like jerry being singer more than graves. to me graves just kind of seems to me like a danzig copy off and is not fit to be in the misfits, and im more pleased to see an orginal member of the misfits fronting, even if he is a money grabbing assh*le. when will doyle get back in the band?

Wait a second, I heard that Danzig is back with the misfits. I saw it in the magazine Guitar World.

Yeah, I know, that's why I'm confused as to whether it's true or not. I have the article that says he's back with them and that their going on tour now, but it doesn't say anything about it on their website. Did anyone else hear anything about Danzig rejoining the misfits?

So yeah, I'm going to be seeing the Misfits at the Carven Concert Hall in Modesto tomorrow :cool: . This'll be my first real punk show apart from a Lower Class Brats show I went too (I'm more of a rock&metal guy..). What should I expect from this? I know it's going to be packed. Is it pretty rough? As in, a buncha skinhead retards elbowing everybody etc.?


Also, discuss other classic punk shows you've been to/are going to.

The Show=Suck. I'm pretty sure Jerry is the only remaining member, and he is way past his prime. There prob will be skinheads (not the nazis). There will be punks. There will be trendy goth kids. It shouldn't be that bad as far as being "rough". Just stay on the outside if you are scurred.

We have another Misfits thread. But yeah, I bet the show will suck. And no, it won't be rough.

I'm seeing The Misfits too, but not til November. I'm goin to the Horrorpops, Roger Miret & The Disasters and Left Alone this thursday though. That shows gonna be sweet.

At that show expect a lot of douche bags. I could go to the show in Atlanta, but I don't want to drive that far and I don't want to be packed into a place with ****ty people.

I've seen the Horrorpops a few times, such a fun show!

Whether the show is great or not doesn't really bother me, but seeing the Misfits only 25minutes from my home for $15 is definately worth it, as I might not get to see them ever again.

$15 seems like a little much.

i read an articale about danzig rejoining the misfits too, but when i read the graves storey it was far more belivable. It's gonna be super sweet if/when its announced officialy. Plus whoever said that jerry was a gd lead singer is toatally not a true fan of the misfits. anyway heres what i heard the new lineup was gonna be. BASS: Jerry only, VOCALS: Mikey graves and GUITAR: Dez Cadenza of black flag Drums: ?????

Robo rejoined the band to play the drums. He was around for Earth A.D.

Anyway, Danzig will most likely never rejoin the Misfits. Though he did perform one concert with Doyle last year.

Doyle I believe is still on hiatus to spend time with his family until the next tour. He and his wife had their first child a year ago, so he stepped out of the touring life to help raise his daughter.

I doubt any announcement will be official until all the tours of the involved musicians are over.

i saw them play in the UK earlier this year and they were good with marky on drums, me and my girlfriend met marky and jerry which was pretty awesome, i thought it was a great show with all the classics, not quite the same as michale on vox etc but was good

The Misfits show I'm going to in Chicago is gonna cost me $27, but that's because there's a bunch of other kick a'ss bands that are gonna be at this 2 day festival which is called Riot Fest. Probably not. I think the reason he left the band was because of huge arguments and I think there was a legal battle too.
