Yeah, I could've gone to that and in my town it was Anti-Flag, Pennywise, and Bad Religion, and I wasn't going to pay $22 for only wanting to see one band.

holy_roller99 11-16-2005 04:08 PM

yeah pennywise has sucked 4 a while. was it bad religion or antiflag?

Bad Religion definetly.

Weezerfan_returns 11-16-2005 09:20 PM

I saw the show..and it was amazing. Pennywise was kinda lame, but oh well.

Anti Flag was awesome. People talk on here about them preaching. It seems like such a cool, trendy thing to do, to bitch about them "preaching". First of all, they only talk for like, thirty seconds, two times or so between songs. Second of all, they're preaching is worthwhile, and they say important stuff. Third, someone else who used to "preach" who only gets praised, and never gets bitched about is...Jello Biafra. (jello also had some GREAT things to say). On live bootlegs, or the live album Mutiny On The Bay, Jello banters on and on about Regan and stuff, and no one seems to bitch. Greg graffin spent more time talking about the return of NHL hockey (The Minn. Wild) to the twin cities area than Anti Flag spent talking about the government and such.

Both bands were great, especially Bad Religion. (no control was the ****!)

lynch_me 11-16-2005 09:46 PM

Honestly That list you got Reiner is almost exact to what they played for us.

Ghostfire3 11-16-2005 09:48 PM
Honestly That list you got Reiner is almost exact to what they played for us.
That's because bands have things called set lists. Most bands use the same one in every city they tour.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-16-2005 09:58 PM

Most bands change their setlists up unless they're cocks and want to disappoint fans.

Hey, I paid 20 to see Social D.

Yes, very good. Some bands decide to switch, and play other songs too. It's called creating a new setlist. For example Greg told us they were playing some songs they didn't play the night before.

victimofreality 11-16-2005 11:00 PM

They should have at least played their entire discography.

jerks

The Scientist 11-17-2005 07:19 AM

god... what happend to all the stage presence? bad religion lost a lot of thier stage presence in the last couple of years. not as energetic. like the guys from against me! are constantly moving, same as anti-flag. I like to go to a show and see a band that MOVES on stage. not one that just stands there and bobs in time with the music.

Death_or_Glory 11-17-2005 03:23 PM
What do you mean stopped half-way through songs? Like half-way through their songs or half-way through their sets? I don't like Anti Flag, but if a band is going to talk about good meaningful protests through their set, I don't mind that. If it's during a song that doesn't make sense really. Last night they yelled at some guy for touching a women's breats, and called in an act of sexism (x1003022 swearing.)
My friends went to that show, I went to the kitchener one.

I liked Anti Flag more than Bad Religion *prepares for flame*

Where do you live?

The Scientist 11-17-2005 05:05 PM

dude, you deserve no flame... it's your opinion.

Liebensaft 11-17-2005 06:12 PM

I'd rather see Anti-Flag than Bad Religion.

Jessizzle 11-18-2005 07:41 AM

Im a big Anti Flag fan. but I dont feel the need to go to a Bad religion/anti flag show.

TakeWarning 11-18-2005 07:49 AM

To be honest, Anti-Flag were good live, but I imagine Bad Religion would be pretty boring live.

Drop The Baby 11-18-2005 08:09 AM

This thread seems to be a complete turnaround to usual, no-ones slagging off Anti-Flag and people are putting down BR.

BR are awasome live, one of the great live acts who are still currently together playing. And when i say great i mean GREAT

ZaaR 11-18-2005 09:00 AM

Ugh, I found out that Protest the Hero played in Toronto with them. I can't stand PTH, so that would have ruined my night if I went.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-18-2005 11:13 PM

Seeing them tomorrow. I'm getting there late so I only have to see them.

victimofreality 11-18-2005 11:21 PM
this is not available on cd, its an lp only and is very hard to find, trust me you dont wanna hear it anymore than you have to, its terrible, im suprised the band didnt change their name after this, but luckily most BR fans dont even think about it now, they overcome this when they released suffer :)
It is available on cd, but just as a promo.

My friend saw it at a garage sale and bought it for me. 20 dollars.

KingOfSka 11-18-2005 11:23 PM
wot do all of you thnk about Bad Religions live album TESTED

i think its ok but its not that great becaue it is broken up and its not rally a live album
It good but i could see what they were trying to do not recording the crowd,
But at the end of the day its always the best thing to hear the crowd in a live album

MAthiAS 11-19-2005 10:48 AM

Alright, I see them TONIGHT. Anyone else going to Starland?
