omg What happened?

I love Hopesfall :)

Pazz 12-02-2005 02:48 PM

Concert is so soon. I'm so excited.

Mute Print 12-02-2005 02:49 PM

Funeral For A Friend cancelled their tour. I was hoping the other bands would still play but they're not. :(

B 12-02-2005 02:50 PM

Boo!

I'd love to see them live.

Mute Print 12-02-2005 02:51 PM

Hopesfall is awesome live. I saw them on the Take Action Tour in March, and I fell in love with them. I didin't really know them prior to seeing them, but they blew me away.

B 12-02-2005 02:52 PM

That's like when I went to see Silverstein and Protest The Hero was supporting. (Check them out if you haven't.)

cbmartinez 12-02-2005 10:44 PM

In Pieces' drummer was filling in for Hopesfall too.

CommieCanada 12-02-2005 10:49 PM

i dont like hopesfall live. when i saw them with underoath and FBTMOF they had a really boring set

Pazz 12-03-2005 11:32 AM

The From First to Last, Haste The Day, He Is Legend, and Dead Reckless concert I went to last night was amazing. Dead Reckless was alright, they had to tell everyone in the Pit to start moshing because everyone was just sitting there. He Is Lengend got the crowd going pretty good and they played pretty good. Haste The Day, was probably thebest because they got their sound to work perfect. We took a break from the Pit during Haste The Day because we needed some water. Then after their set we moved back into the Pit for From First to Last. From First to Last everyone went crazy since they were the headliners. But, their singing was getting drowned out by the guitars and drums. It kinda sucked because of that. But, for one of their songs, they played The One Armed Boxer Vs. The Flying Guillotine, and we got everyone to sing along, and then he put the mic down and let the crowd sing for about a minute and then said he never expected us to sing for so long.
For my first concert it was really good.

Never Sleep Again Tour

Aiden
These guys were solid. They only played five or six songs, but they were a lot of fun. The best part was when they split the crowd in half for a "wall of death". I was right on the edge of the opening, but it really didn't matter as most of the kids weren't that big, and really didn't know what was going on. Just the fact that there was a wall of death at a pop-punk show was pretty funny.

Bayside
These guys played an acoustic set, and it was incredible. The emotion in the room was unbelieveable, and they plaed every song perfectly. It was probably one of the cooler things I've ever seen.

Silverstein
These guys were insane. Everyone was going nuts when they started to play, and the energy lasted through their whole set. There were so many people, that it was difficult to stand up straight. During their second last song, the lead singer from Aiden cam on stage, grabbed the mic, ran to the edge of the stage, and jumped over the barricade into the crowd. It was crazy.

Hawthorne Heights
I've seen these guys five times now, and I've loved them every time. This was my first time seeing them headline, but I though they put on a really good show. They played basically all of The Silence in Black and White as well as three new songs. I was right in front for the whole set, and could see everything perfectly.

At the end of their set, the drummer threw one of his drumsticks into the crowd a couple feet away from me. I heard it hit the ground so I immediately went down and grabbed it. Unfortunately, so did four other kids. After a good three or four mintures of pulling each other around trying to get the stick, one of the kids decided we should have a best of 3 "Rock-Paper-Scissors" tournament to decide who would keep the stick. I ended up winning, and got to keep the stick. :D

Overall, it was one of the better shows I've seen this year.

Gnarmageddon 12-09-2005 03:49 PM

Brian is a show whore.

Mute Print 12-09-2005 03:50 PM

Haha.

I only have one or two shows left before the end of the year. I already have like 8 lined up for '06 though.

That is tight but I would've had just as much if not more fun watching Armor for Sleep. Also is that new song your talking about called 'Monsters' cause you can listen to it on their PV and I thought it was terrible. I think their new album will be solid despite that song.

Also that design the pig or whatever has on its chest I have that design on a shirt.

Last night I went to my last show of the year. It turned out to be an awesome show. It was a benefit for "Toys For Tots", and all three bands were local.

Dead Hearts
Awesome as usual. Probably the best band in Buffalo.

It Dies Today
These guys were pretty good as well. They were better the first time I saw them, but they were pretty fun.

Every Time I Die
Their whole set was insane. I was at the barricade for the whole show, but during ETID's set, I couldn't move.

At one point during the set, the lead singer stood on the barricade, and had the crowd sing a long to one of their songs. At the end of the song, someone took the mic from the singers hand. Security tried to pull it back by the cord, but the cord ended up breaking, so I guess someone ended up with a mic.

At the end of their set, they threw almost everything off of the stage. Picks, drumsticks, water bottles, setlists, strands of Christmas lights, two plastic Christmas trees, two other outdoor Christmas decorations, scarfs, hats, vests, small wrapped boxes, and two huge Crate cabs. As you can probably imagine, this led a number of fights, but overall, it was a great show.

DepthsOfDreams555 12-19-2005 06:30 PM

DepthsOfDreams555 12-19-2005 07:52 PM

What is up with that I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business show you are going to. I really like his music but is it just them playing and no one else?

I don't think I'm going to any shows any time soon. I should see when The Academy is.. passes through. Tickets are probably already sold out.
