The fourth is ****ation and a Day.

And that'd be beyond awesome.

Shadows 07-14-2005 08:05 PM

No problem. I can have The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Nymphetamine, and Bitter Suites to Succubi up later...it's getting late where I'm at so I'll get them for you tomarrow.
Update: The three said Cradle albums have been successfully uploaded on our HateCrew forum. Head on over there if you want. Let me know if you guys want any other CoF albums. In the mean time I'm going to start working on my Shadows Fall thread.
Could you give me a link, I couldnt find the uploads.

Sure, why not. I don't know if you're acquainted with our HateCrew forum but it's a completely different board. If you're a Children of Bodom fan than feel free to sign up.

I'll bump with a question...

What's the concept behind ****ation and a Day?

Damnation and a Day is all of the events of the Bible being told from perspective of Satan. A very good concept if you ask me.

By the way Slip, did you still want those other Cradle albums? I forgot about them, but if you still want them, I'll be more than happy to upload them for you.

Thor 07-18-2005 07:35 PM

After listening to Nymphetamine last week a whole lot, I realized how great it is. Sure, it has a few tracks that arent so great, but most of it really appeals to me. I'm hooked on the song Nemesis at the moment.

Cool. I'll have them up tomarrow. I know I said that before, but I'll really do it this time.

Nemesis is Nymhetamine's best song.

Nemesis is a great song. That whole album is great. Is their older stuff as good as their newer stuff?

I heard Nymphetamine for the first time the other night. That was the first song I have heard by them. Are the others good?

their older stuf is much, much better

Yes. For albums, the two I would STRONGLY reccommend would be The Principle of Evil Made Flesh and Midian.

If you don't want to get the full albums, then check out these songs:
Lord Abortion (Lord Abortion's favorite :thumb: )
The Forest Whispers My Name (Metal_Head_617's favorite)
Summer Dying Fast
Cthulu Dawn
Her Ghost In The Fog
Swansong for a Raven
Gilded Cunt
their older stuf is much, much better
Agreed, but Midian really impressed me.

Lord Abortion 07-19-2005 08:35 AM

I would also really reccomend cruelty and the beast, so many classic songs on there it's untrue!
the twisted nails of faith, beneath the howling stars, desire in violent overture, cruelty brought thee orchids, lustmord and wargasm, the bathory aria, all brilliant and some of their very best work

warlock606 07-20-2005 03:08 PM

Beneath The Howling Stars is such a beastly song...he (Dani) hits some of the highest and lowest notes I've ever heard in a CoF song.

Lord Abortion 07-20-2005 03:14 PM

BTHS is incredibly structured
the pause before dani hits those notes "beneath the howling *highnote* staaaaaaaars"
and then that great riff, shows how great that one is, what an album...

StormRider VS IronMan 07-20-2005 05:12 PM

Generally i dont like COF and the whole Black metal scene. Just listen some of the work Martin was doing with MDB and then with the vampires. Cant compare them right?

one_beloved_curse 08-05-2005 08:57 AM

Cradle is the best

Cemetary_Gates 08-05-2005 09:29 AM

I really think COF are awesome. The riffs are heavy, hard, fast and very original unlike many modern metal bands.

The drums are immense, the double-bass bringing a deep heavy tone to the songs.

The bass just contributes awesomely to the band giving it a nice pure metal tone.

They dont over-use guitar solos like a lot of bands, shoving them in every single song making them sound poorly constructed and and out of place, yet when they do the occasional solo they really really can play, and write great solos!

And dani filth's voice is just outstanding, stretching over about 1000 octaves lol, he can hit the best high notes or the deepest low notes and not lose any of the quality.

Most importantly...god ****it can they play live!! they are definately not a studio band!

God bless COF!!! :thumb:

Kessler 08-05-2005 09:36 AM

I think the band is good, Dani is a good song writer but his vocals can get annoying. Their old albums were good and I like their new album too, Gilded C*nt is a pretty good song.

Stuart.S 08-05-2005 09:42 AM

there not the best band, i like cradle of filth, but im not a BIG fan, just a fan.

i also like, pink floyd, led zep, cream, iron maiden, SOAD and loads.

i basicly like MOST rock and roll bands :D

no crappy (can swear on these foumrs right?) rap or pop for me

coldblooded 08-05-2005 01:47 PM

I tell you what. Listen to some real music. Don't waste your time listen to Cradle of Filth. Their music is truly a "cradle of filth." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That was Coldblooded

Lord Abortion 08-05-2005 04:04 PM

ooh, good, more cradle fans, what we need,
favourite songs new fellas?

metallica=my gods 08-06-2005 05:25 AM
I just can't stand Dani. Kudos to the rest of the band, but Dani is the Fred Durst of Black Metal.
DUDE THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CRADLE OF FILTH BUT YOU RULE MAN YOU LIKE THE SAM BANDS AS ME METALLICA SLIPKNOT AND TOOL :thumb:

Darkest Hour 08-06-2005 05:41 AM
