The nice thing about this new community thread is that it is early enough so that it's more inviting to people who didn't post in the old one. I'm always open for new, badass people... but all too often, there are people who venture in here and are annoying as hell, and that pisses me off.

Luckily, I have no complaints about anyone who has posted recently :)
Well, I have a complaint about you. LEAVE!

I kid, I kid. I agree, It's great to see new people come in here. It was almost like you couldn't post in the community thread if you weren't allready a regular. Most of the new and annoying people learn their lesson fast, or don't stay very long, so it's good.

Years and years.

I haven't cleaned my room in a long time either. Meh, I'll do it later.

We just started this new thread and I'm already behind.

It doesn't even make any sense. :)
Early enough?
My hypothesis was that people either a) didn't recognize that the Yacht Club/Everything... Find Out thread was a community thread, b) people saw it but were too intimidated to post for some odd reason, or c) were too lazy.

Now that it is in its early stages, people might be more open to posting.

Fine, ridicule me for having poor logic, Mr. Philosopher :upset:

Well it's just that the old thread didn't just appear at five months old; it had a beginning too. So I didn't know what you were getting at.

ATM 04-10-2005 07:13 PM

Tender, you back at uni yet? I was going to upload some Mad Season for you.

RiceMonster 04-10-2005 07:14 PM

That would be pretty lazy then, considering this thread is random chatting about anything.

I don't start again until the 18th :)

I'll be back on the Sunday though, I think. I was just listening to Proceed With Caution, though.

EDIT: Is that Liz Hurley?

ATM 04-10-2005 07:15 PM

It's so much better then the Pit. I can't stand that place.

Well I like Proceed With Caution, and that's all I've heard. I like it quite a bit, though; some of the line are amongst my favourites, to be sure.

I have taken a lot of mod abuse ITT already. First Jelle throws a frisbee at my head, and now Bartender stole my monocle.

But that is quite alright, for I have another monocle.

I am doing alright, thank you. You might have read how I'm disappointed in how I haven't been proud of my creative writing for the past couple months, and I'm looking for suggestions as to how to remedy my plight.

I am also reading Tacitus right now, and he's quite boring.

Otherwise, I am feeling okay going into the new week.

And yourself?

Kurtz 04-10-2005 07:26 PM

It's a great idea, just give it time.

Yeah, I read about your creative writing problems. I used to do a fair bit of writing myself, but not for a while now, so I don't have any advice to really give you. Even when I did write, if I encountered a block of any kind, the only 'remedy' I used was to wait, and eventually I'd be able to do so again.

Anyway, I'm also feeling pretty good going into the new week (which has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that both my mam and my sister are going back to school, while I bask in the glory of another week's holiday). I do really need to get some philosophy learning done in this week, though - mainly finishing reading Meditations (and it's annotations) and reading up on and practicing my logic. That should be easier now that I'll be in the house on my own, though.

And I'm going for a meal this Saturday, I think. So I'm good.
I apologize for the double post, but I have a question for the masses:

It's not a bad idea. Maybe your concept of a decent amount of posting has been skewed by the amount of time you spend in here :)

Looks good. Could you upload some more Benefit for me when I get back to University as well, please?

And I don't think you saw my edit earlier (or maybe you chose not to respond), so; is that Liz Hurley?
