Either Pistola, Deep Inside or Sick Sad Little World
I would say Sick, but Nowhere Fast is so creative.
I'm not a huge fan of Nowhere Fast though, theres something about it that just doesn't click with me.
Well, Make Yourself songs arent that popular.
i think "nowhere fast" was more of a great song for Jose..i love the drums in that
as for mike Sick Sad Little World The Warmth Pistola he has so much to adjust and so much to play in those songs PS: Make Yourself actually is at the top of the list on my friends favorite album...and i really liked it..i know that whole cd note for note, bit by bit...its my third favorite incubus album (second favorite if you dont count EPs as albums) |
One of my favorite bands.
dude, me too... make yourself or morning view...great albums. |
Besides, Mike writes all the songs first acoustic style.
Uh, says who? I've never heard that from him before....in fact, I'm almost positive that he wrote Pardon Me on electric first. In his guitar.com interview from years back he talks about how he changed up the song for acoustic and had to fill in for the bass.... His best song? Sick, Sad Little World or Deep Inside gets my vote. |
Pistola.
I've just noticed that in 13 pages of this thread, not one person has mentioned the DJ. Comments? |

Dj Kilmore of Incubus is creative as far as a Dj for a rock band. I dont know if he did any Dj work on Fungus Amongus. I found his samples on Science to get old after a while. I love the sound effects on the song Calogne though. He started to scratch more on Make Yourself and Morning View. He started using alot of samples again on ACLOTM.
i mentioned him i think...unless that was in the A&I forum...but i like kilmore cause he provides like a background soundscape for the band...like he doesnt just scratch all the time and thats whats awesome about him...i love how he puts lil things in to make sh*t sound tight..like in Mexico..the lil ship noise and i love how its all in tune but i guess you can adjust that on the tables..im not sure i havent messed with tables (yet). and i never knew untill i saw it live that the "diggity do ga"s that brandon does at the beginning of "nice to know you" was actually just scratching.. and his solos are awesome (ie Red Rocks DVD)...
but i did like Dj lyfe cause of his speed...and i kinda dont like the "wooha" that kilmore does in "green" but i guess thats life..haha |

there was no DJ on Fungus Amongus thats why the songs are different on Enjoy Incubus because that has the dj...but thats DJ Lyfe..Dj Lyfe did Enjoy Incubus and SCIENCE..but left the band cause they were getting too popular and DJlyfe wanted to stay underground (or so he claims) so in steps kilmore from Make Yourself and on...and "BattleSTar" has Dj Kilmore and the two tablists of Jurassic 5 (cut chemist and DJ numark) |
I really like Battlestar, it's an awesome song. It seems on ACLOTM he kind of stepped down a little bit though.
Well ALOTM is guitar and vocally dominated, Science is Dj dominated.
I'm just saying he didn't really do anything on ACLOTM though.
He did. Listen closer.
^yeah definatly
He did alot of cool stuff on ACLOTM, I love the sample at the begining of Zee Deveel
anyone else like audiovent?
audiovent? I've only heard one song from them (the energy, i think?) a long time ago...and never heard them again. hey, isn't the singer from that band or someone related to Boyd? Brother? I'm not sure..i could be wrong..i'm not a big fan of audiovent
I have seen an interview on television before featuring Audiovent. I do recall one of the fellas saying that he was the brother of Brandon Boyd.
Mike's brother is in it too.

http://www.digitalbombing.com/images/killmore.jpg
Having the DB headquarters on Melrose Ave, Hollywood... we've seen everyone from Paris Hilton to Dilated Peoples to Keilani Lei... DJ Killmore (from the Jedi Knights and Incubus) has been spotted skratchin' and rocking doubles of the new Good Fortune Sound recently. He just informed us of a new MIX CD coming out before Summer 2005. It its rumored that he has asked N8LOC for a drop for his mix.
Nice. Kilmore is doing a side project it seems. I've wanted to hear something like this for a while. |
I've never really cared for side projects too much.
NP: Opeth-Harvest |
I havent heard anything from Audiovent.
Audiovent redefine the word 'average'.
Any songs i should check out by them?
The Energy seems to be their best song and it's not really all that good. But they've broken up and some of them started a new band, whose name I can't remember.
I just checked out some of there songs, There not that great. I can completely agree with the sound being 'average'.
alot of ppl i know say there new stuff sucks, well **** that i like there new stuff and dont care what u say
