the entire last page was like "the abortion page," but i decided not to get involved since i have no realy staunch opinion on the matter. Subject change?

I'm going to see Explosions in the Sky TONIGHT. the show starts at 9, but i hear that Explosions doesn't go on until 11 or so. and my friends said that they dont want to go that early or wait around that long. is anyone else going to this concert tonight, and what time would be a good time to actually enter the venue? I'm too tired to make my own decisions. :upset:
I'm going in two days. The show starts at 7, and there are 4 bands. One problem, I have to be home by 12:30.

Explosions better fuckin' play before I have to leave.

Muse and The Pixies are both coming here (to Montreal) and I wanna see them both like mad! I can only see one so that'll be The Pixies but the sounds gonna be crap :( they're playin in a freakin hockey stadium (Why do I have to live in Montreal?)

br3ad_man 10-09-2004 04:46 PM
Muse > The Pixies
Never!

I think I might be driving up to that Pixies show in Montreal in November. Is it around the 25th? If I get to go, it'll be the best Birthday ever.

I honestly don't see what everybody sees in Muse, I haven't heard anything that really blows me away. They have some good songs, but nothing exceptional.

br3ad_man 10-09-2004 10:48 PM

^^^
That is my exact opinion of The Pixies.

Lowend 10-10-2004 11:23 AM

i saw rufus wainwright. he was amazing. he forgot the lyrics to cigarettes and chocolate milk though....

his voice is so different when he's just talking. after the show, he came out in front of the venue, and just talked to people and whatever. He really does have a huge gay lisp.

br3ad_man 10-10-2004 09:58 PM

It was my birthday yesterday.

Happymeal: :p

Happymeal 10-10-2004 10:33 PM

br3ad_man 10-11-2004 05:30 AM

I don't know if I'm going to call it that yet, I'm still a young 'un and I'm not totally sure of all of my emotions yet. I don't know though...it seems possible to me...only time will tell I guess...ah well, needless to say, I'm very happy at the moment, and I'll keep you updated on everything that happens :)

Thanks for the birthday wish too :)

Happymeal 10-11-2004 06:22 AM

Hah, that's cool. Don't rush it man, hope everything works out for both of you.

I once had an infatuation on a German girl, and we broke up 5 days after. She hunted me down for almost a year:p

/goes to L&R

Tomahawk 10-11-2004 09:07 AM

Your birthday was the same day as my Dad's. He's not 16 though.

Edit: omg 1000th post. That is so depressing.

Luxor 10-11-2004 10:02 AM

Mx is browsing the forums, and he just modded PDWAB in pop-punk... That probably means we'll be getting our mod sooner or later.

...Even though they haven't even told us who it'll be.

Yeah man, that's the last thing I want to do. I don't actually expect anything to happen for at least a year or so, I really don't want to screw it up...

My new band is finally getting some attention. We got a string of shows coming up around the Long Island area in New York. The Long Island music scene has really been picking up, its pretty exctiting meeting everyone and being a part of it. Anyone around there that hasn't checked it out really needs to.

Wanker 10-12-2004 09:49 AM

so yeah. what have all the alt/indie kids been up to recently?

I got back to school last night after a great weekend in new york and seeing explosions in the sky. But now I have to write a 3 page essay for writing class and I have to read a buttload of history for a test on thursday. College is ok, but it's still kind of lame. I'd rather be at home and bettering myself as I see fit. I don't even have to time to exercise anymore, which is driving me insane. This is because I either have to be smoking something or exercising to keep my state of mind clear, but since I dont have time to exercise, I've been smoking too much. I'm really trying to stop. I know it's going to be hard, but I've got my LiveStrong bracelet on right now and I'm waiting for some free time to hit up the gym. Does anyone else have trouble planning and squeezing in exercise time whilst at college? And if you do, how do you get around it?

Gah, I need a nap
