i haven't been paying much attention to this thread, but i've heard around that there is supposed to be a tour next year. whats true and whats not?

AB/CD 01-05-2005 09:28 AM

well AC/DC normally do a world tour after every album release and the new album is being released this year i think so tour should be on but then like i dont htink much work is happening on thealbum at the min cos every1s been doing stuff with different bands like brian johnson was on tour with twisted sister cliff williams done a short tour with hayseed dixie

JACKROXYOU 01-05-2005 12:56 PM

nice i cant wait

catchingdeath08 01-05-2005 02:01 PM

i got the definitive acdc song book :)

catchingdeath08 01-05-2005 02:01 PM

800 pages, 85 songs

angus_young1990 01-05-2005 02:24 PM

AC/DC are undoubtably the best rock band ever :thumb: I know there songs are simple but they are effective i can play two of there songs (back in black and highway to hell) and playin them makes u appreciate how good the songs are anyone who dislikes AC/DC dont like good music

angus_young1990 01-05-2005 02:27 PM
hehe...look at the name.

I dedicated my screen name to malcolm because he is more dedicated/ talented than angus. Angus admits that Malcolm is a better guitar player. He writes most off the riffs and solos and Angus just plays them.
but it takes skill to be able to play something i write for a band but i cant play nearly as well as our lead guitarist

rippa32 01-06-2005 04:32 AM

Im in australia so im definately able to see em.

LeDfLoYd21 01-06-2005 02:45 PM

Ive always liked ACDC, even the newer stuff. I do, however, like Bon Scott material better then the Brian Johnson stuff. Bon Scott sang in a great squeling voice, and while Brian can sing exceptionally well, I think that he forces his voice more then Bon Scott did

JACKROXYOU 01-06-2005 04:19 PM

eh so are we expecting more or less the same thing in the next album?

BlitzkriegBop08 01-06-2005 04:39 PM
acdc is way over rated...so is angus young
YOU DONT KNOW WTF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT YOU SNIVELING *** AC/DC ARE ONE OF THE GREATEST FOUNDERS OF ROCK N ROLL AND ANGUS YOUNG IS ONE OF THE BEST GUITARISTS THAT EVER LIVED. JACKROXYOU 01-06-2005 04:43 PM

Both of them are equally crappy singers...but both are EXCELLENT frontmen. They're true showmen with distinctive styles.

AC/DC is one of the most unique bands of all time. I prefer their brand heavy metal to this crap we have today. It's all three chord marches, which is absolutely fine by me...because Angus Young's solos more than fill in any gaps the simplistic riffs leave. It's great having bands like them around that realize that you don't need to cut down to the bare minimum (punk) but you also don't need to go over the top (hair metal). They provide a nice medium.

Well said. But I don't agree with youre opinion on their voice.

Well...the whole shrill voiced screaming thing can be impressive, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

Unsurprisingly, I don't like the guy from Iron Maiden very much. And I absolutely HATE Axl Rose.

downpaymentblues 01-07-2005 03:17 PM

You don't like Bruce Dickinson(Iron Maiden), you don't like Axl Rose and you don't like Bon Scott or Brian Johnson!!!??

Who the **** do you like then...Britney Spears?

AB/CD 01-07-2005 05:13 PM
To all those Thunderstruck-Blabbing-Idiots (no offense): in the studio version of Thunderstruck, he picks every single note of the intro. In his early days, he used one hand live. And now in his present days, he picks every note once again. Watch Stiff Upper Lip Live and this will prove it. Also, I read an article with Angus saying he picks every note in the Thunderstruck studio version.
not just SUL, Live form donington too! first song he picks every note
