witchxrapist 03-10-2012 01:09 PM

If I had one wish, it would be to see a 20 second clip of a Rob Zombie music video.

Haz 03-10-2012 03:51 PM

13 year old me would have jizzed myself at the unprecendeted level of access to nu-metal music videos

witchxrapist 03-10-2012 05:31 PM

Juddybear 03-10-2012 08:17 PM

Juddybear 03-10-2012 08:29 PM

first thing i ever watched on youtube was one of those gi joe public service announcements thingies, the one where the guy says PORKCHOP SANDWICHES

witchxrapist 03-10-2012 08:30 PM

dude I've been a converge fan for fuckin years but this album really did take a while for me to truly appreciate it.

since then its become my favorite converge release

nevertoolate 03-11-2012 12:17 AM
Never got into Converge, though I only ever really listened to Jane Doe. Wouldn't have expected to see them in this thread though. Thought they were more core-ish.

Currently heiling some Aethyrvorous. Rules so hard.
what album would you rec for Aethyrvorous? your last few recs to me have been great

DBlitz 03-11-2012 12:22 AM

they only have the one ep, self-titled. pretty solid portal-y band.

nevertoolate 03-11-2012 12:25 AM

sweet, thanks dblitz, how ya been mate? haven't spoken to you in ages....

DBlitz 03-11-2012 12:28 AM

i'm not too bad man, how are you?

nevertoolate 03-11-2012 12:31 AM

I have no idea what I've recced lol?

But yeah, their demo is killer. I think the Portal comparisons are thrown around a bit much since Swarth was released, but Aethyrvorous fit right in with the Vasaeleth/Encoffination crowd.

Not sure who/how they wrote their material, but one of them joined Impetuous Ritual on Bass. Hopefully they'll produce similar stuff.

 Memories. I remember watching those on ebaumsworld before youtube was up. First video I ever watched on youtube was just called "guitar" and it was funtwo playing canon. They removed the video at like 92 mil views, very sad.

since ive gotten into more noisy shit i appreciate it much more than i used to. I've always loved my unsaid everything though.

rasputin 03-11-2012 02:23 AM

new ignivomous album leaked

have had one listen, sounds pretty similar to death transmutation, maybe just a little more refined, somewhat 'cleaner', if that word's even appropriate. they still have the barrage of riffs and snare thing going, so far so good.

Impetuous Ritual was one of those said recs dude...oh and I just read Berkays post so too was Ignivomous....

Haz 03-11-2012 02:49 AM

really liking Gorguts atm, grew on me like some sort of awesome skin rash

DBlitz 03-12-2012 04:44 PM

on my hazy inattentive first listen to new gorod (so far), i think i might like it more than their 09 thing overall. vocals are annoying at times though.

Good Tech Death. I remember when I first heard The Erosion of Sanity, I will never be the same. Love the intro to Condemned To Obscurity, song is sick.

awesome

adbforever 03-12-2012 10:58 PM

halfway through the new gorod

really good so far

MalleusMaleficarum 03-12-2012 11:03 PM

read: bland, uninspired and completely run of the mill

adbforever 03-12-2012 11:56 PM

after second listen, new beneath the massacre album rules.

so far so good as far as 2012 tech death albums go.

new HoP should be good.

publicastration 03-13-2012 12:40 AM

new gorod is pretty good actually

adbforever 03-13-2012 12:41 AM

its probably their best album

publicastration 03-13-2012 12:42 AM

lol no way dude

beans 03-13-2012 12:44 AM

leading vision is still better

adbforever 03-13-2012 01:02 AM

oh you mean the jazz metal album w/ death metal vocals that everyone loves on this site? nah

im listening to it now, it's not that great, but I appreciate it as a stepping stone to their current (and superior) uptempo style

the only reason they played at a slower tempo on neurotripsticks and leading vision is their shitty chick drummer couldn't play tech death drumming

witchxrapist 03-13-2012 01:15 AM

leading vision is by far the best gorod thing

DBlitz 03-13-2012 01:41 AM
leading vision is by far the best gorod thing
^^^

just never have given neurotpfdgstsidicks much attention and process of decline was disappointing except for like 3 songs

ep was meh

feav233 03-13-2012 07:14 AM

heard the ep wasn't good so i never bothered with it

Tyler 03-13-2012 01:30 PM

The EP was fine, it was two re-recordings, two random acoustic covers (wtf) and a decent 15 minute song that kinda sounded like if BTBAM weren't total pussies

Stevie 03-13-2012 01:31 PM

gorod's ok, got bored with process of a ....

lmao, i think i need to hear this

Tyler 03-13-2012 01:53 PM

I actually really like it, but it's not really a death metal song.
