I've never seen Trout Mask Replica in an HMV sale :( I like to think I'd have snapped it up if I had. What's it like?
New purchases:

Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica (£4.99)
The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow (£4.99)

Curse HMV sales.
You just bought two amazing albums there...
I think Craig fell to the "hatfull of hollow in HMV sale" curse recently

I wasn't too sure about grabbing HOH becuase I haven't ever really listened extensively to The Smiths but I figured that now was a good time and price to start.

link

Riots started by loyalists. They Hi-jacked cars, burnt them and made barrciades which I think the report misses. THey also hi-jacked a bus, robbed everyone on it, the burnt it.

Overview:
WEEKEND OF RIOTS
1,000 police deployed
1,000 soldiers deployed
50 police injured
Petrol bombs thrown
Blast bombs thrown
Pipe bombs thrown
Shots fired at police
Seven firearms recovered
Up to 500 plastic bullets fired
Bomb factory found
Water cannon deployed
Cars and buses hijacked
One man shot by Army
Man critical after bomb blast

EDIT: I just occured to me that itll probably be a while before I get around to listening to Troutmask Replica due to my shiny, brand new Sneaker Pimpers obsession.

How come on last.fm all my artists have just 1 play for each? A couple of them should have had more than one.

nevermind, found it

Taste_My_Scythe 09-12-2005 11:26 AM

I haven't met many people that do.

ATM 09-12-2005 11:28 AM

The Smiths bore me to no end.

Taste_My_Scythe 09-12-2005 11:39 AM

I have to admit, a lot of their stuff bores me too...but the songs I do like of theirs are great. Frankly, Mr. Shankly is brilliant. :thumb:

So I start a few classes on thursday, and then coming monday...everything goes back to being hectic and crazy. I'm really not looking forward to it, as it severely cuts down on my time for doing what I like.

Arucard 09-12-2005 12:19 PM

Yup, i've started College and its abit crazy, but i'm keeping ontop of my work.

Bartender 09-12-2005 12:32 PM

Nicely done.

I did that last year, missed my first ever University lecture.

Yea, I'm still in high school. I can't wait to get out. I have a bad case of senioritis already this year though.

magicbus 09-12-2005 01:16 PM

My college classes are all pretty easy, except for Calculus, which I hate with a passion. I can't stand math, and I'm horrible at it. Other than that, easy street.

I almost missed it, I couldn't find it, I ended up finding it though, I was just a bit late.

NP: Bob Marley - Natural Mystic

Dug up some Bob Marley.

I'll be your go-to guy for your calculus needs, if necessary. Seriously. That's the absolute worst thing I hate about my classes is that all I do is write papers. No quizzes, just papers that account for 20% ("midterm" papers for some classes, they can go as high as 30%) - 50% (final paper for one of my classes) of your final grade Maybe you had the same prof/class number a couple of my friends last year had that I had to help them with.

But yeah, all papers, no tests :-\

Only one lab this semester though, which is nice. It's for my child development class; I have to create and run an experiment using little kids at the uni daycare center.
I almost missed it, I couldn't find it, I ended up finding it though, I was just a bit late.
Yeah, that's what happened to me to, except I continued to be unable to find it. 40 minutes in to the hour long lecture, I gave up.

Actually, as things turned out, I never went to any lectures for that module anyway.

I take AP Calculus AB and BC, which means I have it every day 4th period (I have a 4-period day with A and B days). It isn't so bad though, but AP Literature is a complete bitch.

And it doesn't really matter if I get senioritis because most colleges look at my transcript that is complete up to the end of junior year, where I dominated school. So I just have to get by with grades that are good but not necessarily excellent.

Yea I took AP Calc last year, and I failed and dropped out at the semester. So I'm retaking it. I'll be sure to ask if I need help Jom. Thanks :thumb:

Our teacher is pretty cool and the class doesn't appear to be that hard. I'm decent at math though so I think I'll do fine.

Song or Block?

No one is going to understand the question except Aaron, so save your braincells and don't waste your time mulling it over :p
