its not really a revival its more of a "oh that dm doesnt suck like nowadays dm"

well it seems to me that a lot of people praise most of these neo-osdm bands because they sound so much like their influences...where if it was any other genre then it would be something negative

As long as they're not stealing riffs I see no issue.

And considering you don't listen to anything other than death metal, I don't see how you can judge whether something would be negative in any other genre....

And this oldschool revival is an ironic answer to deathcore "stagnating" the genre.

i listen to a lot that isn't death metal...the majority of my favorite musical acts/artists aren't death metal as well
