ah ha!!! i can post again. d'amn email and such. i hate junk folders.
what happened?

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 08:54 PM

i changed my email address in my profile, and then it has to send you a message before you can post i guess (my old email that i used was almost 2 years ago, i don't use it any more), and all those messages they sent to me went into my junk folder, which i always forget about in times of crisis like that. so i remembered my junk folder, and there was 9 messages in there.

before i remembered the junk folder, i made a bunch of other email addresses thinking that it just wasn't sending them to this one, and no luck there either.

but i'm back now, darlings.

hawt...im eating carrots with peanut butter

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 09:06 PM

my parents, 2 other groups of parents, and one of their daughters are all talking about underwear (thongs aren't classy, etc), sex, "fellatio", etc.

needless to say, the multiple now-empty bottles of booze on the table around them have done their jobs.

Ming-a-Ling 04-01-2006 09:40 PM

If you ever had a chance to hook up with your mom's friends, now's the time :thumb:

In other news...My dog pooped on the floor and my son picked it up and threw it up onto the ceiling, then was jumping off a chair trying to knock it down while I was in the shower...

fishbulb 04-01-2006 09:42 PM

So i went to guitar center today, sabian aaxs sound so good. I also like how the piaste 2002s keep ringing. other cymbals seem to decay faster, but the paistes slowly go down. it's nice. I don't like many zildjians, to be honest, the ks are sweet, a/a customs are good, but i'd rather have AAXs.

haha they're no prize.

and my friend's neice was rubbing her own poo all over the walls, and she put it on/in her nose about a week ago.

Ming-a-Ling 04-01-2006 09:49 PM

Haha, he did that too once when he was 2, just not the rubbing it on/in nose. WTF is with kids playing with feces?? My neices and nephews did it too.

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 09:51 PM

luckily i never did it as a child.

i don't understand the fascination with it either. if i was just a baby perhaps i could be entertained with the consistency of it until i smelled it.

this is tunring into a weird conversation.

I did.

Only after I ate carrot bread.

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 09:58 PM

i've never had carrot bread. is it like the same as carrot cake? i love carrot cake with some good icing, oh yum.

update on the drunk parents: they're now thinking up all the puns to talk about someone's genitalia using golf terms.

Ming-a-Ling 04-01-2006 09:58 PM

You did. It just shamed your parents so much they've repressed the memory and never told you about it.

Topic Change:
What would you rather buy if you were me:

A) Cymbal Stand so you can mount all your cymbals
B) Remote Hi-Hat Stand so I can actually play my aux. hi-hats like I want to.

I'm very torn right now. One of my cymbal stands broke, and I recently bought a couple new ones, so I have 3-ish I can't use. On the other hand, I've had to have my aux. hats on a closed aux. hi-hat thingy since I've had them, and it's just not the same as playing them as I'd like to, and it's driving me nuts.

fishbulb 04-01-2006 10:03 PM

Shaft is the funniest one for golf terms.

Probably cymbal stand so you can mount all cymbals instead of only hats.

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 10:04 PM

hmm... what are the cymbals you're not able to use?

if they're something like 8" splashes and such, i'd go with the remote hat stand.

i really want a remote hat stand to try some bruford-inspired setups.

Ming-a-Ling 04-01-2006 10:17 PM

Here is what I have (** are the ones I don't have in use right now)

14" Zildjian New Beat Hi-hats
12" Saluda Mist Hi-hats
20" Sabian AA Med. Ride
16" Sabian Vault Crash
17" Zildjian A Custom Fast Crash
18" Saluda Mist Crash
**16" Saluda Mist Crash**
12" Sabian Pro Splash
10" Sabian Pro Splash
10" Wuhan Splash
8" Wuhan Splash
**18" Sabian AA Fast China**
*12" Wuhan China*

The wuhan china is mounted on the 18" Crash, so it's in use, albeit not exactly where I want it...and the 18" China is the only cymbal I actually miss right now. I think I'm going to cut the other crash out of my set up since I didn't use it all that much.

Panopticon 04-01-2006 10:34 PM

I'm getting some new vids up.

One of me playing RHCP's By the way (half improv...i couldn't help it:p) because Paradiddle pete asked and the other is a virtual tour of my kit...keep waiting ladies and gents

crazyguy832 04-01-2006 10:47 PM

Damn, Ming, tough choice there...

I'd go with the cymbal stand, actually. 18" china = awesome.

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 11:21 PM

i'd go with the stands also.

drunk parents update: one of them is passed out on the couch, and the rest of them are talking about what to say to someone in the morning after a one-night stand.

White 04-01-2006 11:26 PM

Ordered my new Chad Smith Sig Snare today. got it for 150 including shipping, went into the shop after I boguht it (ya I know wierd) to test it out haha. but ya, Im incredably happy with my choice. I spent almost two hours inspecting that drum, the shell quality, projection, Loudness, sound itself, quality, Strenght. It wa a fun day, Me and Geoff (Head drum guy there good friends with him) Just talked forever as to what the differences were and everything, He let me take it all apart, and then we ahd to put it all back together haha. But ya, it was a fun day. Also I love the strainer on it. I didn't even now they made strainers that flip away fromt he snare drum, and not just switch toward or away from you lol. Ya, amazing isn't it.

Win A Rabbit 04-01-2006 11:28 PM

dave chappelle's on in 35 minutes. i almost forgot about it, until i was flipping through channels and saw an ad for it.
