it all depnds on how much you practice it.
and are you talking about the second part of the intro where he slaps each string open then hammers? for some reason i find that more difficult than the double thumbing.
thats only hard for me because its hard to keep the other strings from still ringing after you move on up |
practice playing it not slapping first, that will help your left hand adapt to it.
W00t ATDI rule :thumb:
they certainly do. too bad they broke up and although forming two more pretty good bands, The Mars Volta and Sparta, neither one is as good as At The Drive-In. |
you knows wuts a great bass line? you oughta know- by alanis morseitte.

it's pretty easy, but still good.
lol i thouyght you said you didnt like emo or any of that , atdi is classified as emo core |
you knows wuts a great bass line? you oughta know- by alanis morseitte.
yeah i agree, i saw them do a live show on tv , and i checked out the bassist hes pretty creative |
they certainly do.
you knows wuts a great bass line? you oughta know- by alanis morseitte.
heh, i haven't heard that song forever, mainly because i don't like her, but whenever it was that that song was big it was always on the radio. so, i don't know anything about the bassline in the song. |
on the record flea played you oughta know.
|
Yeah i was gonna say, Flea has played for her sometimes...
|
hmm i didnt know that
|
lol i thouyght you said you didnt like emo or any of that , atdi is classified as emo core

atdi is classified as emo core , your so emo haha
i, in no way, see how they are emo. Sunny Day Real Estate is emo, Dashboard Confessional is emo. At The Drive-In kicks ass. i've also seen them classified as punk and metal, so classifications don't always mean much. |

Classifications are irritating, people spend so lon g deciding if they're "emo" or whatever they forget to just enjoy the music
|
i'm gonna go watch tv.
i'll be back later tonight. |

i usually dont use classifications farther than emo or screamo. but i figure since im trying to get spaceman to listen to more music i can use them for now |

one last comment before i go... i listen to lots of different music, it just that are are types of music that don't appeal to me. of the bands you listed, though i don't see how Fugazi fits in there, i have heard them and Hot Water Music. but you could list other bands there such as Thursday and Boy Hits Car. bands i used to listen to, but sometimes musical taste changes, as mine did, and i stopped listening to that music. |
