Not all, but a huge chunk of it.

the real talent is in soul-less arena rock.
Yeah I remember back in the sixties. I was at Woodstock and I had a chance to speak with Jimi Hendrix backstage, and he said it isn't even about material things or individual people...it's about humans as a species joining together for the good of mankind and the earth.

edit- that might not have happened...now that I think about it.

Dude that made me laugh. Oh man, I wish I was alive for the 60's...
Don't we all. :thumb:

Who's the bassist for the Grateful Dead? He's quite possibly my favourite bassist right now. I love his tone too.

lunch998 05-20-2005 03:20 PM

Phil Lesh, he's amazing.

jpj 05-20-2005 03:22 PM

He wrote a book call My Life with The Grateful Dead. I really want to read it.

BludgeonySteve 05-20-2005 03:22 PM

Phil Lesh is great.

In some cases he is also underrated.

Good for you.

I don't know who my favorite bassist is. It's between Jack Bruce, Phil Lesh, Chris Squire, Les Claypool, Victor Wooten, Berry Oakley, or Allen Woody.....I should try to narrow that down.

lol gaypj

During some Dead jams, Lesh just comes seemingly out of nowhere with these great fills and walks and such. Really cool when he does it.

Leper 05-20-2005 03:30 PM

I don't know enough about Bass to really have a favourite bassist based on skill and what not..so I guess i'll just say John Paul Jones is my favourite.
