I'm with ya on the new album IheartSP, well what I've heard from it anyway. People have been saying that the songs that were released so far were just radio edits and the actual versions are better though...I'll give it another chance.

CoB has gotten worse since Follow the Reaper. Everything up till then was brilliant. They're kinda going downward now. Theyre still pretty **** good though.

I love everything they've done. I'm a CoB whore.

That doesn't mean you're not welcome. You still love old CoB right? :) I love the new album, but they'd have to really, really impress me to match Hatebreeder or Follow the Reaper.

Apparently some gut in the Bass Forum posted in the Bass Forums' YSI thread threatening to report them to Yousendit. I checked his posts out and he seemed to do it for no reason. Anyway, the mods took notice and MX decided that all YSI threads are banned because so much music was being illegally uploaded over the site that we could've gotten in trouble. And from the sound of it, uploading in general is now frowned upon.

:eek: I just realized, this means I won't be able to put any uploads in my AYDY review like I had planned! :upset: I guess I'll have to make it work with plain old text. Thanks a lot for the uploads everyone. It's good to have some CoB videos for personal enjoyment.

Honestly, if I were in any of those bands that people were requesting for, I'd be honored...in fact, I'd encourage uploading. You expose more people to your music that way.

It's like that for every album. Alexi doesn't think he's a very good lyricist, so he only includes the lyrics he likes in the booklets. It's usually less than half the album that makes it in.

Did I mention the new album is amazing? But without uploads, my AYDY review will be very difficult to make interesting. :upset:

I see. That's a shame cause Black Widow is one of my favs off that album but of course i can just get the lyrics off the net even thought they're probably wrong.

I've experienced the album myself, In Your Face is definately my favourite. It's a shame about that review though...

The great thing about Alexi's voice is you can scream incoherently, and throw in a [COLOR=White]"f[/COLOR]uck" or "needles" or "razor" or "reaper" for good measure. :D

Of course Alexi is a terrible lyricist. It's part of his charm. :) But from what I've heard, many songs on AYDY have very good lyrics. Keep in mind I'm judging from a few lines of lyrics out of the whole album because I usually can't tell what the hell he's saying.

I don't give a flying fuc* mother fuc*er about 10 times over is bad lyrics if you ask me.

if we can upload vids i got a kissing the shadow live vid or im on aim (aim is: quigfoas) its pretty sweet video the sweeping is great.

I'm talking about other songs. In the title track he screams something about "tainted flesh, polluted soul" which I think sounds great. He also says "should I regret or ask myself...are you dead yet?" which I really love in the song.

Of course AYDY has some terrible lyrics. It wouldn't be a CoB album without them.

Shouldn't we focus on the incredible playing on the new album instead of the suck arse lyrics? Mainly the solos cause i know some people think the riffs are a bit bland.

:lol: Oh man yeah, I remember my first impression of bodom - I heard Kissing the Shadows and was completely blown away by the intrumental part of it. I couldn't understand what Alexi was saying through those growls though, so I went and looked up the lyrics...

Bland riffing? The riffs make the album, my friend. The guitar combined with the keyboards make some really cool, unique riffs. The solos, I'm glad, are still there in full force as well. They're more thrash-oriented now.

EDIT: I just checked what Ken had to say in the YSI thread. He said no free music transfers are allowed on the boards, period. That means no videos. :upset:

What i said isn't my opinion but i had the impression that most CoB fans weren't too impressed with the lack of neo-classicalness like Follow the Reaper and Hatebreeder. I agree with anyone that says this is just another wonderful album to go with the rest :)

That was my initial thought. If people were able to follow a link and watch it directly instead of ahving to download it they're more likely to watch the videos. That problem is that I don't know any site where I could stream that many videos, each of which has a huge file size. Any ideas?

That's what the new album is. It's very different but it still has familiar elements that I love from Bodom.

Not that I know of, it would be pretty interesting to hear though. They need to stop making so many covers and focus on writing original material though.
