Migraines 11-19-2006 07:44 PM

I'm lucky this weekend didn't give me alcohol poisoning and kill me... It was intense... I got out of bed at 3:30pm and then had to go shoot part of a silent film for a class at 4pm... It sucked!
It's now 6:30pm and I'm going back to bed right after this study session for a huge exam tomorrow...
just thought you all should know

Eliminator 11-19-2006 07:49 PM

That's nice.

slack 11-19-2006 08:00 PM

Silent films are cool. There should be more of them.

What was yours about?

TojesDolan 11-19-2006 08:09 PM

I don't like Converge.

And uh, nice. Tiger came and trolled some random guy.

Eliminator 11-19-2006 08:10 PM

Hello TojesDoLan.

My song is lame.

TojesDolan 11-19-2006 08:16 PM

Hey you could unblock me on MSN or something.

I'll make crits on tuesday.

Eliminator 11-19-2006 08:17 PM

I'm pretty sure I did.

=\

Nightvision 11-19-2006 08:33 PM

Haha, I do love it when the pit vets just turn up in here and post two lines that whilst completely arrogant and cruel, are also usually deadly accurate.

Apart from Tojes, he's always way out. :p

i am the robots 11-19-2006 10:42 PM

Yeah, that was fun.

Surf 11-20-2006 06:09 AM

So I'm back. Dublin was awesome. And expensive. But mostly awesome.

Anyway, I'm going to go crit some stuff.

Migraines 11-20-2006 12:49 PM

that was fast!

Glad to know you didn't become a real life bad horror movie

slack 11-20-2006 07:14 PM

hey. how are you.

good. you.

good.

TojesDolan 11-21-2006 10:19 AM

Back from the hiatus.
Apart from Tojes, he's always way out. :p
My opinion is always degrading and bad for the self esteem. :(

FA 11-21-2006 11:07 AM

Pretty sure I'm in love with Chan Marshall

Migraines 11-21-2006 01:09 PM

Pretty sure that whenever anyone on this forum talks about a certain artist, I have no idea who they are!

Minus The Flair 11-21-2006 01:55 PM

Don't worry bro, I know the feeling. Just let them be, they prefer it when you don't know the artist.

Also, I just wrote my first piece in a while. It's the most simple one I've written. But not the worst.

Also, I was just looking back and wow at Sloth. I know thats old news but I'd thought I'd just put my feelings forward. Them being 'wow'. And damn, sinuous cum! Too bad it was that aswell.

Surf 11-21-2006 01:58 PM

Speaking of artists, Tom Waits has a new cd out. Amazing. He does a version of something by Charles Bukowski, so I'm just ridiculously happy. Seriously, I have two essays that just aren't going to be written now.

http://www.famouspoetsandpoems.com/poets/charles_bukowski/poems/13021

Nirvana by Charles Bukowski.

slack 11-21-2006 03:25 PM

Ugh, I was going to buy that today, but I am broke.

Surf 11-21-2006 03:49 PM

I've had to stay in tonight instead of partying in order to afford it.

3 discs = expensive album and a quiet night in :(

This people are very underground.

Same here, for the most part anyhow.

I hate the Oberst fanboys though.

Surf 11-21-2006 04:51 PM
This people are very underground.
molepeople style.

Are we allowed to say sinuous cum anymore? or would it be plagurism?

or it could now be a sign of plagurism, e.g. that piece seems a bit plagurised becomes that piece stinks of sinuous cum.

Eliminator 11-21-2006 04:52 PM

hello

Tojes 11-21-2006 04:56 PM

I'm pretty certain sinuous cum was Sloth's.

I could be wrong, though.

Surf 11-21-2006 05:00 PM

Imposter tojes.

http://www.gotpoetry.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=7272.html

:(

Minus The Flair 11-21-2006 05:25 PM

How do we know that isn't Sloth's work posted in another forum under a different username?

Surf 11-21-2006 05:30 PM

Because Sloth's work isn't all Sloth's work.
Some guy came on here and complained that it was something that he'd written had been posted by Sloth. and he managed to prove it due to post dates and stuff. Its a problem because alot of poetry magazines won't publish work that's been put out on the internet.

TojesDolan 11-21-2006 07:29 PM

Hmmm. Poor Sloth.

=(

What could have lead him to do that? Peer pressure?

=o

slack 11-21-2006 07:32 PM
I've had to stay in tonight instead of partying in order to afford it.

3 discs = expensive album and a quiet night in :(
I guess it doesn't help that I bought like 12 CDs last week :/

Surf 11-21-2006 07:45 PM
What could have lead him to do that? Peer pressure?
Something in the water. Voices in his head. maybe its because its because we're so cool over here in s&l that he wanted to impress us. I'd like to think the last one is right.
I guess it doesn't help that I bought like 12 CDs last week :/
Probably not. But its a very good album. I went and had a sly drink in the bar anyway, so its not entirely killed my social life, but as soon as i got back it was straight on. Bastards in particular is awesome.

Eliminator 11-21-2006 10:24 PM

god damn

can you retards go one page without discussing sloth?

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-21-2006 11:00 PM

Honestly, I never liked Sloth's work, plaguarized or otherwise.

SubtleDagger 11-21-2006 11:39 PM

this

TojesDolan 11-22-2006 10:40 AM

Burton don't hide your sadness.

Surf 11-22-2006 11:30 AM

So then, since we're not meant to be disscussing Sloth, how do people feel about the work of James Joyce? Ulysses was excellent, and a great idea. I've just started Dubliners and like it alot. Anyone else read any of his books?

maybe Sloth will come back once his ban is up...

SubtleDagger 11-22-2006 11:35 AM

He lied to you guys for a year and none of his actual songs were really that great, I don't get why you're so ready for him to come back

Also James Joyce is frigging ridiculous
