Nah, just been busy.
Ah, so my assumption about you being too busy to talk to us was correct..somewhat? Well anyway, I noticed you wern't talking to us much, and was just curious. :D |
In comparison to Superpeer? I THINK NOT! naw I'm just kidding, I meant nothing by simple folk, no one take offence to it!
Superpeer is a n00b pwn. /cowere |
sure is..
its a shame that mods cant spam, im sure theyd come up with some funny flames. |
I'm a what?
|
ok question
do you think theres a point in me doing reviews if barely anyone reads them, and about 1 person replies in the space of 6 months |
Bartender would say yes. :(
|
and u would say?
cause, if this suprises u i have done 8 reviews, only 2 of them have got more than 4 replies |
Meh, I've done plenty of reviews that didn't get much response.
If you enjoy writing them, why stop? |
good point
i do enjoy it though, i just wish some people would check out the bands i review, and i put so much effort into this review: http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265500 and theyre the best band ever, but everyone was like, meh, why look at it. |
I don't read reviews usually :-/
|
I'm not sure if I get your thread.
I give you 100 songs that I like : what do you do with them?
He throws them out and pretends to count them, like ballots in Florida or Ohio. Hallowed be thy name is awesome, I would vote for it :) |
Superpeer is a n00b pwn.
/cowere
Wait..What? |
Paranoidd is god
So what scales/modes are you using for the middle eastern sound? Harmonic Minor? Pentatonic? Hello Superpeer :)
I have no clue whatsoever about theory or anything, I just play by ear. -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- -----10p9p7h9-------9b^--9-------10p9p7h9---2--------202-- --------------------------------------------10---------2----- 0--------------0---------------0---------------0------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- --2h3p2h5-3-02-----------2023b^-------7b^------------9b^- ------------------2s3s2-2------------------------------------ 0--------------0---------------0---------------0------------- Theres a piece of it. I'm bad with tabs and stuff. I don't know if thats in a scale or anything...I've only been playing since june, and I don't practice as much as I should. I'm still a severe n00b. I can just hear when notes harmonize and not. |
that looks quite rocking
u read my post at the top of the page... |
Wait..What?
*cowers* Neat scale, I am too lazy to figure out what it is, but all natural notes in some key of E, neat stuff :thumb: EDIT: Then I realized I was a n00b. It's Phrygian. :) |
that looks quite rocking
u read my post at the top of the page...
Yup, I'm on my way out but I'll check it out when I get back. |
ok cool

Neat scale, I am too lazy to figure out what it is, but all natural notes in some key of E, neat stuff :thumb:
Yeah I figured it was E because it all harmonizes with the open E. The sound is more I guess in the way I play it...sharp attacks, lots of reverb, more hi-end, and such. Kind of a sitarish sound I guess. When I get the programs working I'll plug it in and overdub it over some lush synthy stuff, maybe add some actual sitar, who knows. |
sounds cool, what programs do u use?
|
Yeah, I edited, it is Phrygian. Another example of that scale is Creeping Death - Metallica, during the bridgeish section where it sounds sorta Egyptian.
|
Check out my uber 'ool 'vatar.
Zooooooooooshhhhhh /random zoosh |

Im watching David Gilmour in Concert right now :) |
I'm writing a chem lab. :thumb:
sounds cool, what programs do u use?
I'm pretty good with reason, I need to get pro-tools again because mine is screwed up and I can't find my copy. Fruityloops is great for programming drums but the synths in reason are better. |
I'm watching South Park and playing guitar (I suck)
|
I am listening to Wintersun and waiting for dinner...get tacos tonight w00t.

Greetz
/Superpeer Badmoon - Nice avatar  Joe - I'd say carry on writing them. I've had plenty of reviews get none, or few, replies. Less so since I was modded, curiously.. |
I downtuned my guitar (a lot) for the top 3 strings, and I'm playing it slap (I suck at that too), but the thing is, I just realized that Fieldy is truly talentless. All he does is downtune his bass until the strings are really loose, and then plays slap.
|
I like playing slap on my guitar, but it knocks the bloody thing out of tuning constantly, it's just not worth it.
I had my whole guitar tuned down two steps to play some kyuss stuff, and its fun doing bends with the strings so loose. Meh, I enjoy playing in standard. |

I used to think his bass playing was some type of percussion instrument :amaze: I usually have fun with C# tuning  |

Ernie Ball 10's.
I'm going to start using zakk wylde boomers on my next string change, just because I'm trying to build strength and dexterity, and the thickness will help. |

Use 11's or 12's for that far down tuning and they won't feel like twine. 10's are only good for standard or one step down tunings...if you had 11's or 12's on a 2 step down tune your strings would feel like you were using 10's in standard. |
Thats what I figured, I changed the strings myself for the first time a couple days ago. I didn't want to try anything new so I just bought 10's.
I'm a horrible player right now anyway (as my tab on the previous page displays) so I'm just trying to keep practicing. |

You should hear it on his DVD :thumb: |
