sounds very nice! :thumb: what kinda bass is it? post pics when you are done with it..

Myself, im on the hunt for an steve harris signature bass, when i get it io gonna change the body of it from Basswood to Alder, and give it an slightly darker color of blue(i thought of Metallic Blue, then it becomes exactly the same as steves..)

K i'll post the pic lets see. 5 days to hand paint it 4 days at work then 3 days to dry properly. give it about a week and a half. Only painting it for one concert and then its goning on the wall.

Hmmm it would look nice. My friend had his bass signed by steve harris. its a fender jazz bass. He never uses it anymore.
I knew that, just testing you...

hey riva. Cheers for the +Reppy :thumb:
123, Riva you're a star.

That's one heck of a nice bass. Although if I were given a custom bass of my own, i'd have a J-bass shape.

(eventhough i'm foremostly a drummer)

ashman 11-23-2004 11:52 AM

I think Nicko destroyed the Bass/Drummer divide when he wrote the Bass for New Frontier...

Nice Bass, I would bid for it, except I have none of my university loan left :(...

GurS 11-23-2004 01:33 PM

Bruce wrote the drum intro for "The Prisoner"

ashman 11-23-2004 01:56 PM

That just gets rid of the Drum/Vocals divide...

Thunder Fingers 11-23-2004 02:15 PM

Steve can play guitar and sing... gets rid of the Bass/Guitar/vocals divide..

PoliticallyIncorrectMetalhead 11-23-2004 02:33 PM

Adrian played drums in Rock in Rio dvd.

GurS 11-23-2004 02:45 PM

where?

ashman 11-23-2004 02:50 PM

It's in the "A day in the life" thing. It's only about 2 seconds of him playing, but you do indeed see H playing.

You see, there are no divides in Maiden, they can all play all the instruments and so are one man Bands...

Thunder Fingers 11-23-2004 05:00 PM

oh yeah.. steve plays drums to... What dont that Guy do?!

Arucard 11-23-2004 05:03 PM

Magnum357 11-23-2004 05:04 PM

Stranger in a strange land..... land of ice and snow....

A) ever heard of sarcasm?

B) don't be a C**t in this thread. or else you'll have the authority to deal with.

Play nice, boys :)

YDload 11-24-2004 01:53 AM

It was too subtle.

Riva 11-24-2004 02:33 AM
It was too subtle.
Some of Maiden's fans aren't as intelligent as Maiden themselves, my boy. :p

So, what does everyone think of as the best theme Maiden has covered. By theme I mean a particular place, time period, etc.

I was thinking that Powerslave and Rime Of The Ancient Mariner are really cool Egyptian style songs. They even have a real Egyptian feel to the music. What do you think?

GurS 11-24-2004 03:08 AM

They do war **** well - The Trooper, Aces High, Paschendale...

Lord Abortion 11-24-2004 05:05 AM

human desperation
hallowed be thy name, afraid to shoot strangers, etc.
and
the supernatrual- still life, twilight zone, the number...
apart from war are my fave maiden themes

Riva 11-24-2004 05:16 AM

Well, I really love Aces High and The Trooper, simply because they give me chills down the back of my neck when I picture the lyrics in my head.

And when it comes to supernatural themes, you can't beat The Apparition. :)

ashman 11-24-2004 06:08 AM

I think the war theme is the best. I love songs like Aces High, The Trooper, Paschendale, The Edge of Darkness .etc

Thunder Fingers 11-24-2004 06:16 AM
He can't use a pick. That's because he sucks.
if he can play guitar, i think he can use an pick to :p he just said that he never have used one on bass...

Thunder Fingers 11-24-2004 06:19 AM

i would say war.. the trooper, aces high, tailgunner, paschendale, all exelent songs!
