all of the ones where you called something entry level. i was making fun of mappy for listening to the entry level post rock band.

HighandDriving 09-17-2009 02:46 PM

Lol that's pretty funny and true.

Txus 09-17-2009 02:48 PM

Every EITS song sounds the exact same.

I've been listening to Bark Psychosis today, **** ruled, that's good ol post rock before EITS crap came along.

HighandDriving 09-17-2009 02:51 PM

Txus I love your dig. And I don't think it's fair to call EITS crap.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 02:54 PM

theyre not crap, but theyre not particularly good. gotta hand it to them tho, they created the sound thats still being copied here 10 years later. even if it is the sound thats making post rock stagnant.

Txus 09-17-2009 02:54 PM

Idk, man. Listen to other Post Rock bands that came before them and had such a beautiful original formula and no one knew about them (Gastr del Sol, Bark Psychosis for example) and then EITS came along ruining everything. I hate it when people tell me EITS are pioneers in the post rock sound, ****ing assholes.

And thanks, the self titled is mad dope too. I still need to hear Equinox.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 04:41 PM

Txus 09-17-2009 04:42 PM

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 04:45 PM

Txus 09-17-2009 04:57 PM

I think I'm crying of how beautiful the first song is

So far, it's excellent my friend.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 05:01 PM

oh yeah, everything about it is beautiful. the lyrics on that first song are just... wow. wait til you get to the last track. after its over youre just like 'omg wtf just happened'.

Txus 09-17-2009 05:07 PM

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 07:38 PM

after the first two songs the album takes on a much stronger post rock inspiration. its not post rock tho, no.

Txus 09-17-2009 07:40 PM

Amazing album.

Is this their only album?

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 07:42 PM

no theyve got another, the good fight for harmony. its very good, most definitely worth getting. its mostly the same style. i prefer the new one tho, i just think its perfect.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 08:37 PM

did you ever listen to master musicians of bukkake mike? im thinkin about poppin that in here in a bit.

Txus 09-17-2009 09:10 PM

Yes, I did. ****ing amazing music. Much more drone-ish than I thought it would be. I got both albums and both are fantastic.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 09:11 PM

yeah the first half of that album has like one droned note going through all of the songs haha. i love those suuuuper low monk-like chants on the first track of totem one.

StreetlightRock 09-17-2009 09:12 PM

Anyone heard the new Do Make Say Think yet? It's pretty awesome.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 09:13 PM

last i heard from them was a history in rust. seemed they were heading in a much more conventional direction. which could eventually be a good or bad thing.

Txus 09-17-2009 09:18 PM

I love their artwork and everything of that band.

Txus 09-17-2009 09:51 PM

Have you heard La Otracina?

I think you would like them, they sound like a heavier Master Musicians.

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 09:53 PM

Txus 09-17-2009 10:02 PM

Nepenthe 09-17-2009 10:21 PM
