Apocalyptic Raids 05-19-2005 08:19 AM

RustedPieces: Do Mechanix, In My Darkest Hour or Symphony Of Destruction for an easy Megadeth song. I would stay away from Rust In Peace in general if you have only been playing 2 years.

Lord Abortion 05-19-2005 08:24 AM

i'm singing with my band and doing hangar 18...
my vocals are quite growly

Lord Abortion 05-19-2005 08:31 AM

Has anyone ever tried the tremolo solo on hangar 18? It sounds tough, i ma be able to do it, but it will be all crappy, im gonna go try it.

Lord Abortion 05-20-2005 04:47 AM

I will stick it up if we ever get a version recorded
but I dunno if my guitarists are good enough

I plan on covering at least one 'deth song though

anyone got any ides for easier ones- cause we have alot of stuff to learn...

Apocalyptic Raids 05-20-2005 06:07 AM

Maybe Wake Up Dead or Peace Sells?

Lord Abortion 05-20-2005 06:18 AM

wake up dead would be better...

peace sells is overdone

Jev 05-20-2005 06:37 AM

Do Devil's Island

MAthiAS 05-20-2005 09:31 AM

Any of the first four tracks on Peace Sells would be good.

So...today I found out that if Gigantour comes close enough to me, my Dad will drive me and one of my friends to it. I just have a couple of questions, seeing as how it has more than one stage, would that mean that the crowd area would be just one big mosh pit (one for each stage), or would there be some seats available? Or, would this depend on the venue? If the giant mosh pit is the scenario, would any of you with experience be able to tell me some tips for "moshing" ? I am 18 years old, 6'2, 185 pounds and such. I just don't want to be killed in the mosh pit, because that is the only thing stopping me from going to see my favorite band of all time!! Sorry if this post didn't make much sense :(.

Jev 05-20-2005 02:28 PM

If you're 6"2 and 185 pounds you'll be fine. I'm 5"8 and 126 pounds and I've never been hurt in a moshpit.

Deth 05-20-2005 02:42 PM

You will be wailing on everyone else like no ones business.

vashts80 05-20-2005 03:47 PM

I'll be 14 in November and hopefullly it comes to Philly, because Philly is a shorter drive than Camden...I'm 5ft 10 and 225-230..I wear glasses. Any tips on how to not get killed? lmao.

My band did Holy Wars

Apocalyptic Raids 05-20-2005 07:26 PM

Wake Up Dead would also be easier because there aren't many vocals.

GraveRobbersINC 05-22-2005 06:03 AM

My band is going to do Peace Sells, I don't know where you guys are at ability wise but like Vio-lence said Wake Up Dead is a pretty good song to try.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-22-2005 08:24 AM

I've only been playing two years. I can play some of their harder riffs if I'm nice and warmed up. Not going to go near solos yet.

I think it really depends on the album, don't sell yourself short, the first solo in Peace Sells only took me about 15 to get down (still getting it perfect) and I've been playing for less than you.

Lord Abortion 05-22-2005 03:24 PM

symphony of destruction might be cool to do

MAthiAS 05-22-2005 04:02 PM

My band did Sweating Bullets, fun and easy song to play and sing and whatnot.

Lord Abortion 05-23-2005 02:48 AM

given that is one of my favourite 'deth songs
I may do that...

VicRattlehead99 05-23-2005 11:55 AM

My band has done A tout la monde the solo is pretty hard

This will probably be my last post for the summer peace guys! :upset:
