Me and my pal are planning a roadtrip. He's friends with the band Dr. Acula or something from Long Island, and we're going to try to shack up with the bassist or something. We're hoping to stay away from our home for the entire summer, and hang around NY, Jersey, Penn, Boston, and wherever else looks like it would be an awesome place to hear some music. (tips and ideas are welcome here)

Kentucky blows and we want to get out there and see what it's like to be part of a real scene, not the gay shiz going on here. We are both morons and newb drivers, but we're determined and desperate, so anyone got experience with this sort of thing and got some pointers for us? Or maybe somebody here would let us stay a night or two with them if they are along the way or near a good scene.

This summer I'm going to spend my time starving and driving, but it's going to rule.
