You can give yourself an E-handjob.

Or you can hang out with the always-popular Jill.

Or you can listen to classic rock, which is why we're in this thread.

TheDMV 05-18-2005 08:03 PM

Yeah, we got incredibly off-topic there. So...

Who likes the Doobie Brothers?

i love the doobie brothers, especially the singer, and the way the guitar sounds its just incredible. I really like that 70s radio pop rock kind of stuff, really catchy.

TheDMV 05-18-2005 08:09 PM

Which singer?

I'd say McDonald had the best voice, but they were all good. Each had his own style. The guitar tone is awesome.

/shamed.

Leper 05-18-2005 09:34 PM

you know your life is insignificant when you bash classic rock and it's followers.

Leper 05-18-2005 09:58 PM

so who here is entering the prog metal competition?

thickasabrick 05-18-2005 10:59 PM

My favourite Doobie Brothers song is probably China Grove or Listen to the Music.

You know you smoke a lot of pot when your name is the Doobie Brothers, and one of your songs is called "Listen to the Music." I tell people to do that all the time when I'm baked.

My chemistry teachers favourite band is the Doobie Brothers, unfortunately I hate his guts so I refuse to discuss them with him.

edit- Oh ya and The Doors of the 21st Century are coming to a nearby city in July. I'm going. I don't care what anyone says about "it not being the same about Jim Morrison," of course it isn't...but he wasn't the entire band.

Illmatic 05-18-2005 11:07 PM

Yeah, but there's a dropoff, there's a huge dropoff, and then there's going from Jim Morrison to the guy from The Cult.

thickasabrick 05-18-2005 11:17 PM

I don't mind The Cult. I'd go to a Cult concert. Why not go to a concert that also features Ray Manzarek, John Densmore, and Robbie Krieger.
