I seriously need to get Entroducing. Everyone keeps talking about how awesome it is, so I figure it's worth the money.

Shadows 09-10-2005 12:11 PM

I don't even know what Endtroducing is, so don't feel bad.

Watch me be owned by swear filter.

It's a DJ Shadow album that's supposed to be incredible. It's on the featured albums list on Sputnik, if I'm not mistaken.

Shadows 09-10-2005 12:18 PM

It is featured. I've heard it's such a legendary album, but I'm not familiar with the music. It doesn't sound like something I'd listen to anyway.

It's an album which many people claim to be the best Electronic piece ever.

I've heard some stuff, it's alright.

Listening to it almost instantly makes you have a wide musical spectrum, especially if you like R&M...so it would seem.

Yeah, I don't think you would be interested. I'm looking at your list of reviews, and it doesn't seem like it would be your "cup of tea". DJ Shadow isn't anything like Cradle of Filth or Children of Bodom. :thumb:

I don't think so either. I am a little more open minded than my review list shows, don't get me wrong.

Shadows 09-10-2005 12:28 PM

That's because we're not fools.

Bartender 09-10-2005 12:53 PM

It's page 1675 for me. Believe that I would have mentioned it if I was posting on page 1337.

IAJP 09-10-2005 01:01 PM

Can anyone read what my avatar says?

Has anyone used a P2P network for DLing music?
I just use mine for "other stuff"

Win MX sucks. I want Cannibal corpse's cover of No Remorse, but it's in a bastard queue...

Jom 09-10-2005 02:31 PM

I used to use Audiogalaxy, but then it folded :(

Then, I used WinMX, but hated it since the queues were off the wall.

Then, I used MX. Then that folded, too.

P2P programs don't work at my uni, they block all the ports to P2Ps. I don't know how, but those IT people are pretty smart.

I just browse through my myTunes network at uni, but everyone listens to the same stuff, so that's no good.

I just go out and buy CDs and random nowadays. Or, I get recommendations from people.

On P2ps; I use soullseek every so often which is pretty decent. The rest of the time I try to use Limewire which destroys my comput

Okay, I'm listening to an Atmosphere song right now I got from Soulseek called When it Breaks. It's great, these guys are awesome. But I searched for it on allmusic and on Google, yet no luck. Does anyone know the real title to this? I want to get more into these guys.

I wish Chris was here :( I'm pretty sure his name is an Atmosphere reference.

It is; one of the MC's goes by the moniker Slug.

To my knowledge, there is no song called "When It Breaks," but if you provide some lyric samples, I'm sure I could figure it out. If not me, then Chris, heh.

Pfft, no worries, Ali. Thanks, though, for wanting to do that.

I'm not supposed to be that important, heh.

Actually, I invented a new beverage, Irish hot chocolate, it's great.

It's incidentally my year and a day MX anniversary
