I wanna go see Paint It Black with The Loved Ones and Shook Ones but I don't think I can go.

40 oz 2 freedom 03-18-2006 12:21 AM

I went to the Shook Ones show with Torche tonight but it was too late and I didnt wanna drive back from Austin at like 3 in the morning so I just left.

TakeWarning 03-18-2006 12:23 AM

obese_breasts 03-18-2006 01:05 AM

PiB and Shook Ones are playing in fucking Santa Barbara (or so says our local booker). I'm so stoked.

srt-4 03-18-2006 01:09 AM

Have you read the book?

Hunter S. Thompson is a god.
Have you read the book?
That's like asking Bush if he's read the bible.

EDIT: Nvm, I thought you asked Andre if he read the book.

Bush didn't read the bible, he listened to it on tape being read by Charlton Heston.

He can't read.

DaveToopes 03-18-2006 10:34 AM

That explains a lot.

I was just at some record store hoping they would have some cr00sh vinyl. Though the vinyl and most of the CDs were all vintage, they had a small new CD section in which they had a Shelter CD (I LOLed at the nerdy Asian dude), a Murphy's Law CD and The Wrong Side- The Wrong Side Of The Grave.

RetiredAt21 03-18-2006 03:55 PM

Hahaha, cr00sh vinyl.

Feel The Darkness 03-18-2006 05:54 PM

cr00sh

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-18-2006 06:34 PM

I just got my distortion pedal back from being fixed, puts out SO much more gain now.

Let's Chop Cats! 03-18-2006 06:37 PM

Get emgz mofo.

obese_breasts 03-18-2006 06:54 PM

LP Custom + Marchal JCM 800 Half Stack= GRUFF distortion

NewKindofArmy03 03-18-2006 07:35 PM

I need to buy a half stack. Right now, I use my friend's Fender head and some old, crappy cab for band practice/shows. I used a Marshall 1960b cab for recording and it sounded so much better. Right now I only have like $400 so I need to get some money.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-18-2006 07:39 PM

Bob, I need to hear your band...

TakeWarning 03-18-2006 08:24 PM

My friend has a half stack, it's awesome.

Lazybassplr56 03-18-2006 08:39 PM

Come on guys. Doesn't anyone play bass? (insert low bass note,)

Matt? 03-18-2006 08:43 PM

i play bass

but mainly guitar

sketchyjoe 03-18-2006 08:45 PM

I bass it up. Yo!

That means I play bass.

Lazybassplr56 03-18-2006 08:49 PM

I was trying to refrence the scene from the Simpsons where Homer goes to rockstar camp and no one wanted to play bass.

sketchyjoe 03-18-2006 08:53 PM

You should've referenced the South Park episode where Cartman starts a Christian rock band and gets Token to play bass because "If you're black, you can play bass"

I want to get down on my knees and start pleasing Jesus. I want to feel his salvation all over my face!

DaveToopes 03-18-2006 08:56 PM

Everyone over in punk plays bass.

sketchyjoe 03-18-2006 08:58 PM

Because punks can't play music and four strings is easier than six. Especially when you only have to play them one at a time.

Lazybassplr56 03-18-2006 08:59 PM

I can play guitar, drums, and bass.............and the recorder.............

DaveToopes 03-18-2006 09:00 PM

Haha, truth. I don't play anything now, but I used to play drums. Even bass sounds too hard for me. I was pretty good at drums though.

whiteminority 03-18-2006 09:01 PM

Reason I picked up a bass.

sketchyjoe 03-18-2006 09:04 PM

Ditto.

I think it's the reason everyone starts bass. If no-one was lazy we'd only have lead guitarists.

whiteminority 03-18-2006 09:08 PM

Or jazz fusion only bassists.

NewKindofArmy03 03-18-2006 09:18 PM
