Eh, I'd just move on...they didn't want you initially, it's too late for now.

Can't say I've been in that situation...the closest I've gotten has been when girls flirt with me/try to pick me up at parties because they think I'm single. I dunno.

Yea, I'm not going to do anything I regret.

Speaking of which, they just put out a new song.

I'm so wasted and tired.

Listening to Portishead makes me dizzy.

Shattered_Future 09-09-2005 05:40 PM

For some reason, my iPod only has 3900 songs, yet it says it only has 5 mb of space left on it...

When I try to shrink the files as well, it ends up taking up the same amount, if not more, space.

Stupid technology...what happened to making fire with 2 sticks?

That Therapy? album was still at the shop today so I picked it up. It's Shameless, which is their weakest album according to RYM, so I'll keep that in mind, but it was $5 so either way it's not a big loss if I don't like it I guess. :)

Do what I did. Never get an iPod. I'll always love buying CDs more than storing mp3's. I like the way all the casing and lables look - and the discs arranged in a sace. Wierd I guess.

Wait till you go to college. I'm glad I'm not carrying around 200+CDs with me. Both for fear of losing them and because it's a hassle in a dorm.

Yeah, but it's quite hard to take 300+ cds on a train ride with you :)

You're probably right. I'll most likely feel the need for an iPod but be too freaking poor to buy one.

Jom 09-09-2005 06:15 PM

Get a Creative Zen or something cheaper in price, but not in quality.

Riva 09-10-2005 02:54 AM

I want to get a Creative Zen so badly. :p

I'll have to save quite a bit more though.

On another note: GO THE ADELAIDE CROWS!!! THE PRIDE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA WILL FIGHT ON! WE WILL NEVER SUCCUMB TO PORT!

On another 'nother note: I got Vader's Armageddon (Greatest Hits) and Ancient's Proxima Centauri from the guy I do CD trades with. :D

EDIT: GO BRISBANE BRONCOS! What a try! (as of 7.00pm EST)

hahah 36.. that's terrible

I seem to have lost the urge to hear any new music... even stuff I recently got.. I just put it in the playlist to come on randomly, no desire to hear it at least once before it goes in there.

I feel like uncle scrooge in his money bin or something. It's sad

Yeah, I listened to my new Vader CD all the way through, but I got distracted by Agalloch and Mithotyn before I could make it to Ancient. :-/

Tryng to buy a new phone has been one of the most traumatic experiences of my life :(

On the Plus Side I Got:

Portishead - Dummy (£6.99)
Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X (£10.99 :()

Bartender 09-10-2005 08:17 AM

I picked up Dummy a few months ago, and have been quite disappointed with it so far. I like trip-hop in general, but it doesn't seem to do anything for me.

I like what (very little) I know of the Sneaker Pimps, though. What's the album like?

I sometimes feel like that. I'll go through reasonably long periods of time where I only want to listen to music I already know. But, I know that there'll be a time when I'm feeling more 'receptive' to new music, so I stay on the lookout for those times. They're usually short (less than a day, usually less than half), but if I catch myself in one then I make sure to make use of it. Last night was a good time, actually.

Anyway, last night I saw Death to Smoochy, for the second time, on TV. My opinion of it has been changed from pretty good on my first viewing, to completely fucking brilliant, end to end. Anyone seen it?

I have a very poor knowledge of trip hop in general so I decided to branch out and get some more. I haven't listened to it yet, but even if it is slightly disappointing then it was only £6.99.

The Sneaker Pimps album is good, very good. I really like the vocals. That is, I really like the whole album but the vocals are particularly great.

The only Sneaker Pimps I know is a song that I got free with the first media player I downloaded, MusicMatch Jukebox. It as pretty good, if I remember.

Anyway, trip-hop is rather a small genre at the best of times.

Well, I may as well urge you to check it out. It's got a pretty good cast - Robin Williams, Edward Norton, Danny DeVito, Jon Stewart, and so on - and it just is a great film. Original (which isn't easy), no cheap laughs, weird without being too weird, and well-acted.
