they sound like cut copy, which is a very good thing.[/QUOTE]

I've racked up more than 100 plays of their 5 song EP, it's ridiculous. So, so good.

was it you that posted It Hugs Back - Inside Your Guitar and said something about it being headphones music? whoever that was i gotta thank them, the album is great, and you're right it's very well-textured. i haven't really gotten a feel for all the songs yet, honestly the only songs i know by heart or can recall and know i like are the first two, Q and Work Day. Q is amazing.

cbmartinez 08-03-2009 04:39 PM

well i already know the surrounding area really well since i live nearby, but i hadn't seen the campus much and it was pretty nice. i hear it's really clique-y though.

Dinosaur Jr. - Farm

i have concluded that Beyond is slightly better, but this still melts face. even the occasional songs that should be unmemorable are worth listening to for Mascis's guitar work.

cbmartinez 08-05-2009 11:32 PM

yeah it is super cliquey there's definitely a lot of kid who are still stuck in high school the fraternities are the worst part

Liebensaft 08-06-2009 01:12 AM

Cliques are everywhere though. They're a fact of life. The frat dudes and broskis basically make themselves look like idiots, but still manage to achieve popularity. Baffling.

I've been really slacking on checking out new music, but I've been spending more time with Dr. Dog after seeing them Monday night, the new Why?, and Major Organ and the Adding Machine. I like these musical decisions, but I still need more hours in the day to listen to as much as I wish I could.

The new Flaming Lips EP is awesome. I'm pretty excited to hear more. Currently revisiting Chad VanGaalen, whose music I've realized I like more than originally thought. Six Organs is next on the agenda.
