Dimmu Borgir are fairly cool all the way up until and including Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia. especially the two first albums.

For All Tid is passable, they suck balls for the most part.

For All Tid is definitely a cut above the rest, but (the original version of) Stormblåst is enjoyable. so are the next three albums, despite not being typical black metal, more resembling really pretentious pop music in some aspects.

sort of sounds like mush at times (the problem with all Emperor albums for me) but I found the technical riffery and bluesy leads impressive

I dig Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, not as a black metal album since it's not really black metal at all but it's still a fun listen.

He's not bad as Dani Filth but yeah Dimmu is no good.

@Bleekill Dani Filth's vocals are pretty awesome, actually. Damnation and A Day is my jam whenever.
