Indie

Cocaberry 03-29-2006 04:44 AM

Damn I don't know lol.

I have a question though about hi-hat clutch washers. Right now I use felt washers. If I want my top hat to move more and have more of a washy sound when open should I use rubber washers instead? Would it make a noticeable difference or should I buy a new clutch?

Iodus 03-29-2006 04:53 AM

I use rubber washers on both my sets of hats and yes it makes a difference imo. You could also use one of those clutches that allows you to adjust the distance between the washers

Cocaberry 03-29-2006 05:15 AM

I do have that type of clutch but I have it set up as loose as it can go. I was just wondering if it is possible to change the type of washers to make for more cymbal movement and washyness.

Drum Phil 03-29-2006 05:22 AM

Well the rubber ones are harder so i'd assume they'd cushion the blow less.

My elims a bit gay like that, it makes you screw down the bottom hat too.

mysticalyeti 03-29-2006 05:49 AM

I've been having those dreams where I find insane deals on strange looking gear again...

Except last night, I had a dream I got a perfectly fine Odery for $602.69, exactly ;_;

My brain is cruel.

Pauly 03-29-2006 06:06 AM

Wham!

Fully functional DIY e-set. Sensitivity is great! Noise level is great! Looks great! Heck, I'm gonna lick tonight and I bet it'll taste great!

I've got the day off tomorrow so I'm going to move it outside and take some more pictures. I've got a guide almost complete, just gotta add the finishing touches.

Look for the thread tomorrow for better pictures and a guide.

Coma Divine 03-29-2006 06:29 AM

Wow, nice job dude.

Yeah I got the IC Hihat stand. Its awesome.

Anyways, so you mean the rubber ones will give me more washiness? Are the rubber ones still pretty durable? Do they last as long as the felt ones?

Drum Phil 03-29-2006 07:33 AM

ARGH!

My new pedal just came. But they sent the wrong fucking one! They sent the single version instead of the double!

**what's a Chav?**

Drum Phil 03-29-2006 08:51 AM

Nah. A chav is basically the scum of society. Drink and take heroin/cocaine from age 12 upwards, dress in tracksuits and are generally violent.

Chav is an acronym for Council House, Always Violent. Well it is now anyway.
