No big deal. You saw HENNNNKKAA!
Say what?
Alot of the stuff on Seasons starts to get old after a while.

FatalEnergy 07-22-2006 12:41 AM

Yeah, I agree. Skeletons of Society anybody?

I think not.

Spirit In Black and Hallowed Point are my favorites off that album.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 12:43 AM

Blood Red is probably my favourite.

I think Hallowed Point and Born Of Fire were the worst >_>

FatalEnergy 07-22-2006 12:45 AM

Really?

I dig Hallowed Point, but Born of Fire sounds way too forced until the major break half way though.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 12:46 AM

They just sounded like leftover ideas from RIB :(

Prince Charming 07-22-2006 12:49 AM
Yeah, I agree. Skeletons of Society anybody?
yes. Love that song.

FatalEnergy 07-22-2006 01:03 AM

I always thought it was the lamest on the album. There's like two riffs in it. Dead Skin Mask is weak, and I thought it was better than Skeletons.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 01:07 AM

I like Skeletons more the Dead Skin Mask.

I rate DSM ahead of only the two I listed above, and maybe Expendable Youth.

heavy metal kid 07-22-2006 01:18 AM

I thought every Reing in Blood CD had the ending riff of Postmortem and Raining Blood in the same track, but only early impressions of the album had that glitch.

I guess my Reing in Blood CD is special.

DSM is epic. It was the biggest hit with the crowd at my show at least. I've always loved it and was one of the first Slayer songs that I ever heard.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 01:36 AM

It was one of the first Slayer songs I was into also.

Prince Charming 07-22-2006 01:42 AM

I actually heard Raining Blood first.

AA-12 07-22-2006 02:23 AM
@ Josh. LoG guitars were horrridly mixed at my show. The gain , mids and bass were just maxxxxxxxxxxxex out. The bass guitar drowned out everything. Randy was drunk as hell and couldn't keep tone/pitch with screams.
I meant riff wise/writing/playing their music.

Prince Charming 07-22-2006 02:34 AM
I meant riff wise/writing/playing their music.
oic. Playing live is just as important.

AA-12 07-22-2006 02:35 AM

Yeah, but I never go to shows so meh.

Prince Charming 07-22-2006 02:36 AM
Yeah, but I never go to shows so meh.
I go to good ones.

The Negation 07-22-2006 02:54 AM
 I don't know if you heard it, but when Mastodon stopped playing for like a second, someone yelled, "YOU SUCK!" so loud, I know the band heard it.
Ha, they probably deserved it.
When I saw Slayer on the Unholy Alliance tour with Slipknot, they put Slipknot as the headliners...there was major booing.
I was pissing of this guy next to me. I guess he was there for CoB, and I was talking shit about them pretty loud. I was calling them, "Children of BOREDOM" and that Alexi could switch places with Avril. And the guy kept looking at me and giving me dirty looks. I could tell he was getting pissed, because like everytime Alexi went to talk to the crowd or after they played a song I just yelled, "SLAYER!" so damn loud.
Hahahahaha, THANKYOU, Bodom are boring. Classic.
Sounds like you had one hell of a show.

[Nightbreak] 07-22-2006 08:04 AM

The only good thing about CoB are the leads, besides that they are a mediocre band. There, I said it.

I totally agree with you. So boring.

The bottom one is the only one that matters.

Bazarov 07-22-2006 06:59 PM

CoB suffer from what I call "Dream Theater Syndrome" aka Dream Theater Complex... talented musicians who can't write music that is likeable, at least to me.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 07:10 PM

I don't think CoB suffer from that, especially considering their last couple of albums.

Not all of them are virtuosos, anyway.

Bazarov 07-22-2006 07:17 PM

Well, that's just me... I've never liked their music. But I think the guys are talented... well atleast Alexi is. Some of the stuff he did at the Slayer concert, made me go, "woah".

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 07:26 PM

The guitarists and keyboard player are talented, but the other two aren't anything special.
Well, that's just me... I've never liked their music
Either do I, anymore. What I meant was that their last two album haven't focused on technicality.

Bazarov 07-22-2006 07:31 PM

I wasn't really talking about tech-ness, just that they have guys in the bands who have talent... maybe they don't. I've only heard stuff off of Follow the Reaper and Something Wild, and some of the guitar licks sounded talented.
