I'd go with the pink.
|
So one of my friends and I spray painted the hood of his car into a brickwork design. Almost photoreal looking, but still looks handsprayed. I should have pictures in the next few days.

Read that out loud a few times and tell me how it sounds. Was alcohol involved? |

I dont really make them, but you could try getting a bit of fabric, like..canvas kinda material, a stencil and fabric paint. Thats what my friend does anyway. |

Yes, it's not real leather. :cough cough, vegan: But it's REALLY nice. I have one, I patched and studded it. It's about $160, I think. |
Any ideas of other places i can put my patches & pins?
/Jacket and guitar gig bag full |
Go on ebay, I got mine for 30 bucks there. Then get the studs off studsandspikes.com. Studding jackets is easy. I used a steak knife to make the holes.

/Jacket and guitar gig bag full
Pants? Do you wear bondage pants, or something similar? Something of the steriotypical punk look is what I mean. If so, throw them on there. They have non-leather jackets that look exactly like leather and are just as durable. See what you think. |
Just go to a thrift store, and if they don't have any come back another day. My friend found a really nice, hardly used one for $45 that was almost like new.

My hands are cold how do i make mittens?

so if you want to make a limited number of patches, like just enoufgh for you and friends, I'd reccomend doing it the traditional DIY patches, way, that is get a sencil and some fabric paint, and make patches. You should be able to find a number of instructions to that scrolling back through the posts on this thread. Now if you want to make a bigger number, say for a band, then go with silkscreening. Since sikscreening is kind of complicated, you can email me if you need more instructions. But be warned it will cost about $30-40 (I think) to get started. of course, then you don't need to buy anything more for a long time. |

Need a new belt......badly....suggestions?

make one. Or go to the salvation army. They have more belts there than I've ever seen, ever. |
i have seen them at leather stores for 10 bucks
|
Well I've made a belt by weaving pop/beer tops together with shoelace-like strings. It works better as a necklace, but it makes a pretty interesting belt.
Could also make a duct tape belt. Bungee chord? |
Bungee cord might constrict pretty badly.
|
Extension cords are the best belts.

White Beltsz

The only belt I have is a leather belt with studs in it that is so old I actually have had to sew it a few times.
|
The only belt I have is an old hand-me-down that I wrapped up in duct tape. . .twice.
|
My only belt is a cloth strip with two metal d rings at one end, and you somehow weave the strip through those to make it stay. It came with a pair of pants from TJ Maxx.
|
Ha. I've gots me a standard stud belt, but it's nearly too big.
|
buy one...
Isn't that the reason I posted in the D.I.Y. thread? So I don't have to. |
Hey look you have 3,000 posts now.
