heres some i wrote the other day. a lot of it dosnt look like it rhymes but sounds right when its rapped. i was wrote this for an intro of a song this italian mc wanted me to rap on.

hold your children
take haste to the abandoned mine shaft
solidify, like the rewinding vhs of
ice glaciers before automobiles
break the chain before they cut your achilles tendon
feel the strain of a thousand dying children
its only thirty cents a day
but you look away
like foster parents first day on the job
skip knowledge
im a blue color comedy special i hate my wife and work
skip knowledge
im a marijuana smoker with a bachelors degree in art
create a sound we can bathe in wave our flags to
masturbate the radio,
those arn't diamonds around your neck, its just old coal
you're never late you're just there wrong
i broke all the clocks in my home
just to prove i've survived

You posted that link like a year ago, I think. Pretty decent but it gets boring.

Win A Rabbit 09-08-2007 04:07 PM

So I've been really into The Roots lately, but can't really get into any other rap/hip-hop.

Any suggestions similar to The Roots for me to check out?

I don't like that I only listen to one band in an entire genre. There's gotta be others out there that I'd enjoy.

twista with bone thugs-n-harmony - ain't no hoes

best track of 2007

Rams 09-12-2007 10:01 PM

Primo's remix of "Classic" is the best track of 2007. Common's "A Dream" and Guru's "State of Clarity" are awesome too.

I forgot "This Is Why I'm Cold" by Twista

Been really diggin' Playtime Is Over by Wiley recently, I reckon it's one of my favourite releases of 2007.

Been listening to Plan B - Who Needs Actions When You Got Words? recently. One of the best hip hop albums I've heard in years.

Best rap artists I have heard so far:
Jedi Mind Tricks
Immortal Technique
Necro
Deltron 3030
Snoop Dog
Zack De La Rocha - because I liked Rage's 1st and 2nd Albums.

Interesting list of ghostwriters and the tracks they've written. I dunno how reliable it is, but the guy seems to be a solid source. I had no idea Ne-Yo had been around so long- he apparently wrote TQ's 'Westside'? Devastating news. I still have the album it was taken from.
Who would have thought Ne-Yo ghost-wrote John Lennon's "Imagine" ... yeah ...

Ne-Yo has been writing since at least 1999 for Youngstown.

Everyone should pick up the CunninLynguists' new advance. Dirty Acres has amazing beats on it and the rapping is solid.

reyherks 09-24-2007 05:35 AM

i need a fukin dope ghostwriter!

Yeah it really is. The Uk has a really good scene atm especially with Lethal Bizzle.

I just got Chamillionaire's new album. Pretty good I think east the 2nd best hip-hop album this year (behind Dizzee's Maths and English obv).
