TheBigMachine 09-08-2006 05:08 PM

Ah, yes, that could be dissapointing...

FA 09-08-2006 11:23 PM

I just got back from a Bob Dylan concert....might I say....orgasmic...

His encore was amazing....

1) Like a Rolling Stone
2) Rainy Day Women #12 & 35

It seems short but he made it last about 20 minutes.....wow...great stuff...you should all be jealous.

TheBigMachine 09-09-2006 04:14 AM

I am :(

Surf 09-09-2006 04:59 PM
Waiting on Subtle to put a new word up, I think.
fair enough.
No, Widerstehen just arrives, puts some pseudo-funny picture and leaves. That's not constructive, that's not destructive either, it's just annoying and childish.
its starting to get that way. getting really old, really fast.
I just got back from a Bob Dylan concert....
did he really play rainy day woman for an encore? he's been playing like a rolling stone/all along the watchtower for years. anyway, i saw him back in june, and he was really good. lots of people say he's rubbish now, but he was really really good. played for about two and a half hours. best show ever

TheBigMachine 09-09-2006 11:21 PM

I wish he'd come here, that'd be the best.
lots of people say he's rubbish now, but he was really really good.
Gah, when i saw him a few years back he just turned his back to the audience and noodled on the piano, sort of vaguely muttering a few of his songs and then left about an hour early. Judging by the rave reviews of his recent live performance I'd love to see him again but an experience like that will seriously put me off going to one of his shows.

TojesDolan 09-10-2006 04:27 PM

Dang people is dying everywhere.

That sucks so much. Maybe he was drunk or something...

Tojes: Steve Irwin and Peter Brock.

FA 09-11-2006 10:27 PM

It's not about going to a Dylan concert and expecting the 60's-70's quality music he put out. It's about seeing Dylan...who cares if I couln't understand him, it was still amazing.

slack 09-11-2006 10:48 PM

Ah, he came to town, didn't he? I should've went.

I picked up Modern Times today. I really like it.

Permanent Solution 09-12-2006 12:47 AM

Hey Surf and The Big Machine...do either of you have songs currently up?

I owe you both crits but I couldn't find anything up atm.

TojesDolan 09-12-2006 09:26 AM
hXc
meh a bit deform.

I want to see the rest.

Surf 09-12-2006 09:55 AM
Hey Surf ....
don't worry about it, i should have something new up soon, just got to get past the editing stages

FA 09-12-2006 02:33 PM

I havn't written anything in a long time....it's probably cuz i'm up at school now. I have the time, really, I just don't have the energy slash will....

TojesDolan 09-12-2006 03:32 PM

Try falling on love. That helps a lot.

slack 09-12-2006 03:51 PM

Writing is overrated.

FA 09-12-2006 04:55 PM

Who said I'm not already in love, tojes?

I'm not...but still.

....

TojesDolan 09-12-2006 06:06 PM

Sup Justin.

Anyway it is indeed overrated, both writing and falling for girls.

:(

TheBigMachine 09-15-2006 03:58 AM

I beg to differ with the falling for girls part...

drumass04 09-15-2006 11:07 AM

What happened to the whole crit several songs for each song you post...it's just the usual few that are giving out decent crits again :(

TojesDolan 09-15-2006 11:19 AM

Burt isn't active. Yeah.

TheBigMachine 09-15-2006 05:23 PM

We need another mod. I nominate someone who's always around...Tojes, you maybe. You around fairly often.

TojesDolan 09-15-2006 06:12 PM

This has been discussed many times over, and Burt doesn't agree on that.

He thinks it's unnecessary, mostly because this is a very, very slow-moving forum. I'd be delighted, sure, mostly because I'd have more reasons to be around here checking out everything's in order and stuff, but that depends on the current moderators, really: Burt comes every now and then, but he's also busy with real life. Dfelon also shows up in Lyrical challenges, but as well is more dedicated to real life, I think.

I have seen Joshmay scarcely the few times I've been around, so I don't know. It'd take some big time decisioning session and stuff. But I'm glad you think I'm around a lot, that's some sort of compliment I think. Or a comment on how I should go out more haha. :D

slack 09-15-2006 07:39 PM

I am so bored. I want to go to the gym right now, but I hate working out when there's tons of people around. I'm thinking tonight I'll hang out there for a couple hours so I can get super huge and bash all of your fucking heads in. :)

As for modship, I nominate surf since I like reading his comments and he's one of the few that seems to care.

TheBigMachine 09-15-2006 09:09 PM

I was thinking about Surf, but I thought maybe he might want a bit more experience round the crib.
The filter didnt filter out ****ing today. Strange.
I heard theres a filter on the word document...or is d0cument...
Anyway.

TojesDolan 09-16-2006 12:24 PM

Filtered words are swear words and document to avoid hacking directly accounts. Through the forums and stuff.

Oh dear lord, whom i am not a follower!

Does anyone here hav a cure to the common cold, this is too much, im supposed to be recording some new stuff tomorrow and it feels like someones inserted a tube between the membrane of my brain and my skull and pumped it full of mucus untill its come pouring out of my nose like a slimey waterfall in which no person would care to swim.

Grotesque

TojesDolan 09-16-2006 01:40 PM

There's no cure for the common cold nowadays, but I can tell you having... I don't know, probably lemon and honey will fix your throat. Otherwise, you can take medicine, but that can end up in drowsiness.

Volume8 09-16-2006 03:35 PM

Bah,

You know as a child my mother always told me that if i kept putting my mouth around the tap id catch a cold, who would have thought she was right, and yet even to this day its quicker than having a cup by the sink.

Bah, I reckon ill be screwed for tomorrow and we have pre booked the studio, its a bit of a downer, had to have three days off work too as i could barely breath. Ridiculous!

I have an insane pain threshold, ive been to a 4 day festival and moshed to Metallica with a fractured rib, ive broken all mannor of bones, piercing my flesh with nitting needles used to be a party trick of mine, that or putting cigarettes out on me and yet as soon as i catch a cold i turn into a big mardy git, can't handle em at all!
